Thanks, Jim Morris, for "reading" the cemetery and photographing my ancestors' graves and publishing them on Find A Grave. I have taken the liberty of adding some details. I hope you do not mind.

May I have your permission to use your photos of Ruloff Shurragar's headstone for my ancestry.com tree (with proper credit to you)?

Thanks so much for connecting Phineas Terry and his daughters. Unfortunately, I guess you are correct about the personnel at the Montrepose Cemetery. Little do they know, I would consider paying a fee for info on my 4th Great Grandmother.
The best to you,

Thank you so much for creating memorial pages, and taking photo's of the final resting places of two of my 3rd Great Grand Aunts, Lydia Terry(116624374) & Charlotte Terry(116624373), in the Montrepose Cemetery in Kingston, NY. I see that you only recently posted these on Sept 6 2013, so I feel very lucky to have discovered them. I can't believe how well the stones look after 179 years. The pics you took were very crisp & clear, and with no shadows :-). Charlotte & Lydia are sisters, so please feel free to link their pages. I also know where their father is buried, as another kind Find A Grave contributor recently created a Memorial Page for him (this is my lucky year I guess). Do I have to contact her so that she can link the pages to his daughters? I think that's how that works. I was under the impression that Lydia & Charlotte's mother "Lydia Reeve(s) Terry", who died on 29 May 1841 is buried in the Montrepose Cemetery too. I was wondering if you came across a tombstone for her as well? I have tried to contact the cemetery and make inquiries there, but to no avail.
Again thanks so much for these postings. I really appreciate your time and expertise in creating these memorial pages, which has helped me to provide a bit more information to my Family Tree.

Thank you so much for your time and the great photos! I didn't realize I could ask to have the name transferred to me. I appreciate the suggestion. If you need anything in Florida, let me know.
Also, if you ever see any Finan grave markers in your travels around the area, please let me know. They are ancestors and I cannot find much on them at all. They also lived in Dutchess and Ulster counties (Staatsburg and Kingston).

I was wondering if you were nearby to this cemetery in Rhinecliff New York?
If so, is it possible for you to check on a listing for my ancestor?
Someone already posted a photo with his headstone, but it was taken in winter with snow and I cannot read the death year.
The information is:
Find A Grave Memorial# 104151671
Born 1870, but death year was not posted, thanks!

I am a new member and am so thrilled to see the headstone of my great, great grandfather William D Elting on this site. I live in Kansas so would probably never get to see it in person. Thank you so much. I have a picture of him, I will have to scan and put it on there as well.

Many thanks for the photo. Though it only captured the introductory line of the epitaph, I added what I assume is the remaining text -- a popular sentiment of the day used often for those who died too young.
