Calvary finding a grave have them check the actual death husband's gr-grandmother was not in their name file catalog but when I gave her the date from the death certificate they checked this ancient old book that had the grave location...bonus was the headstone had a picture on it...Carol

Susanne Schmidt (1872-1916)
Hello. Thanks for all the wonderful info on findagrave. My family tree is connected to Susanne Schmidt (1872-1916), AKA as Schmitz, Schmitt, Schmith. She is the sister of my relative Mathias Schmitz, buried in the same cemetery as Matthias Smith. I am trying to ascertain the names of Susanne and Mathias' parents. Might you have obtained any both, marriage, or death certificates of Susanne? Do you have a tree on or anyplace else?

RE: Your message
Yes we made it and it was awesome! I have been fighting with computer here since we got back. Not looking good for it. I am reduced to my iPad mini. I have gone thru the pics from my Aunt and some of the ones that I thought were from NY were not after all. Sorry, I don't usually say anything to anyone till I am sure. I was rather excited about that myself but she said she has another box full she just unburied but I wont get my hands on that till I get down to see her again and that won't be for a couple of months.

RE: Your message
Will do and once I get back I'll scan some of the photos that I know are from the New York W's. some have names and some don't but I know there are quite a few that say NY on them. In the mean time we are off to Ireland for our long time dream trip and hopefully a couple of cemeteries as well.

RE: Your message
Yes I am of the Ohio branch. Your great grand uncle is my Great Grandfather. My Father was also an Andrew Leroy born in 1928 and died in 1995. He was married to Dorothy Ewing. I would really look forward to going over things with you however I am leaving for Ireland in a couple of days and won't be able to do much till towards the end of Sept. I am looking forward to hearing from you. I recently came into possession of a lot of old photographs thru my Dads half sister and while I haven't been doing much with any of this since my Mom passed I am really ready to get back into things.

Barbara Wurstner
There is a Barbara Wurstner in sec 39 lot 437
1867-1923 is she a relative? I took a photo of her headstone also. Let me know if you want her photo.

The Barbara she mentioned to you is Barbara Biller Wurstner. She was the wife of an Andrew Wurstner but it is her son that is also buried in Sunset Memorial. She is my Paternal Great Grandmother and the Andrew is my Grandfather who did in a fall from a smoke stack. Please feel free to contact me. If your W stands for Wurstner we may be able to help each other out down the road.

John & Henry Wurstner
I inquired at the office of Mt. Calvary and they had no record of John or Henry Wurstner for those dates. They did have a John Wurstner who died in 1935. but not your date.

They administer 5 or 6 different cemeteries and couldn't find them.

I inadvertently checked the box to take down the request for Henry Wurstner. You may want to put that back up. Both have Problems Reported for them. You may want to contact the office for Mt. Calvary (716) 892-6600.

I added a photo of section "UU", there are not many headstones in that section & some are flipped over & very hard to read.
