Bio Photo My husband and I live in Missouri.
I have been doing genealogy for about 9 or 10 years and really enjoy it.
James W. Fly, Jack A. Fly along with a lot of others have helped me with the Fly history.
Thanks to James, Jack, and Patty Russell for some of the Fly & Fly related photos.

I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not for my relatives/ancestors. And I may make some exceptions. I'll also gladly add links & additional information. I'll try to do corrections or add info on the same day I receive the request. Please use the edit link and then the "suggest a correction" link, as it is easier and faster.
If you find any errors that I have made, please let me know so I can fix them!
You are welcome to use any photos I have posted for your use. I believe they should be shared & that is one reason for posting them.

Layne - Fly families
I was wondering if anyone knows of anymore family connections between the Layne's and Fly's from Williamson county TN. I know there is a family graveyard off Ragsdale Rd in Williamson county that has several of both families there. Does anyone know if there is a Mary Alice Layne/Loggins on the property? That is my 2nd great grand mother and I have been looking for her grave for a while. I believe both families lived near one another if they didn't share land at some point. My grandmother was buried on a farm somewhere in Williamson county so I figure that was a good starting place. Any help is welcome and thank you in advance!

RE: Edit for Caroline Matilda Lee Mott
I'm not sure. I was trying to connect Charles Alvardo Mott Sr. to his father John Wentworth Mott & Mother Caroline Matilda Lee. Could you check that out. Thanks

We walked the area the best we could. The area is so overgrown and some areas are hard to reach. It is a shame that the memorials that did have photos were removed by a disgruntled member. Mother Nature sometimes wins and it is hard to recapture a photo of the headstones that are destroyed, broken, or hard to read and/or reach. Have a blessed day.

There were no other Cunninghams near her that I saw or no visible markers. Your welcome. Glad to help.

RE: Johnny Harrison Fry Headstone
You're very welcome for the pictures, Mrs. Wickam; it's our honor to visit among so many of those who served our country. The National Cemetery Gravesite Locator only lists Johnny Harrison Fry in Santa Fe National Cemetery so I'd have to guess the one in Washington is either a cenotaph or an unofficial military-type marker as it's different than official flat ones that give vets a choice of bronze or cement. The upright walls in Santa Fe are for ennichement of ashes so Sergeant Fry must've been cremated. Of course, this could also mean his ashes were divided, but the VA would've supplied just one grave site and marker. Sorry to not be able to tell you for sure, TnT

Elisha Fly II - my ancestor
I am trying to locate burial place of Elisha Fly, II, migrated from NC to TN early 1800's. Husband of Elizabeth (Reed) Fly, father of Lucy (Fly) Capps 1803-1849 and Anna (Fly) Capps 1808-1868. Lucy & Anna are buried here in Weakley County, TN on Capps land. Some land also in Gibson County, TN. Any help appreciated.
