I am a southern girl (and being 64, I use the term loosely!) who has been at this genealogy thing for many years. I love cemeteries and find them as beautiful as any park with the added bonus of beautiful markers and a 1000 stories. So naturally I love this site! I live in Savannah, Georgia so I have a lot to explore.|
I am excited to add new photos and search the site for "missing" family members!! Candace S
Family names..Morgan, Thompson, Shiver, Fulghum, Jeffers, Elder, Belford, Winterbotham, Coss to name a few......

I hope I have everything squared away
There is also a Joseph M Ackles in Grigsville?
Both belong to Michal Harrington.
Michal died last year
He left a few loose ends this was probably one.
If this is not corrected soon let me know

Thank you for the edits for Daisy Starkey. I also think for some reason I had her mother wrong, so I removed Nancy. I see her mother is Mary. So far I cannot find a page for Mary, do you know if she's buried in Baylis?
I smiled because I had also tried to update her page a bit more so I clicked your photo and keyed in the transcription, then saw you had sent it via SAC. Thank you for your kind help!
Thank you for all you do.

Ever since I got your request, I have been working until now 10:12 and before I make a mistake. I think that you are happy with what I have added. Now, if I have totally confused you, and myself, I am closing for today.

Catholic Cemetery v Bonaventure
I have all 3 volumes for the Catholic Cemetery and I looked at Volume I, Page 439 it tells me that she is in The Catholic Cemetery. I have no info on the Bonaventure Cemetery.
BTW, if you need anything looked up in these volumes, just let me know.

I made a notation that he has not passed and my reasoning behind the info. Please look at it again & let me know what you think.

Where was this photo taken? I ask this because I would like to know the location of the school. The school is very familiar but can't place it. There was a school located on possibly Bull and Abercorn Streets.
I appreciate your efforts,
JoAnn Hagans Harris

Thank you so much for posting the photo of my great-grandfather, William Simpson's, grave. My great-grandmother, May Bond Screven Simpson Rhodes, is also buried in Laurel Grove, but I haven't been able to find her listing or image on FindAGrave. I was wondering if she might be buried next to her husband. On the other hand, she remarried after his death to George Rhodes, who may also be buried in Laurel Grove. I haven't found him either.
If you have the time, I'd love to see a photo! If not, thank you for everything you've done already!
|Virginia Wilson Bailey||Clara Octavia Solomon|
I noticed that you placed a photo of Clara on her FindAGrave Memorial. I have the exact photo of her that was passed down from my grandmother, Mittie Jester Willett Huggins. Mittie is the dau. of Mattie L. Willett 1844-1929. Mattie is Clara's sister.
If you are related to this family in anyway, I have some photos that were found in the attic of my mother-in-law, Fannie Elizabeth Huggins Boyet. They were passed down from her mother. I can not find out who they are and believe that they might be some of the family from Maine. Maybe, Nickles, Stanley or others.
I would love to share and identify these photos with other family members. They are in fair condition and are large in size for that time.
Let me know if you are part of this family.
