|Dennis Rohlfing||Friedrich Moeller|
Do you know any information regarding Friedrich Moeller who you show as being buried in Saint Peter's Lutheran Cemetery #1? My great-grandfather is Friedrich Moeller also, but was born in 1833 and died in 1893. I have been unable to find where he is buried. He lived in the area of Blair just south of Sparta. Thanks for the help.

I noticed the grave marker image for Marie Mueller shows at the Saint Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery in Randolph county, IL. only her death in 1908. My understanding is that she was a twin to Anna, both daughters of William and Anna Mueller and Marie died as an infant so born and died in 1908.

Thank you for the reply and the offer to take over ownership of Wm Heitmann's memorial page. I had to look up what my responsibilities were in taking ownership. I couldn't picture myself coming from Southern California to Illinois to trim the grass around the monument stone, but I guess it's just seeing to the correct information and any photos the need to be added to the website page. Anyway you did all the work in putting his initial memorial together and I'm thankfull that you did. I can and will take ownership, if that's okay by you.
I have another photo of this monument taken somewhat farther away, that I received last year from a distant relative, I've never met, up in Idaho. He was the one who said that Wm.'s wife's name (Dora) was on the reverse of the stone. And like I said, she is buried in Santa Ana, CA near me here in SoCal.
Getting back to Illinois and seeing the monument for myself will happen at some point. I also found two more Heitmanns in this same cemetery. One, I know would have been my grandmother's sister who died as a child (Elsie 1894-1897). I'm guessing that the other, G.D.W. Heitmann is the relative that was already living in Illinois and who was to meet the two oldest Heitmann children when they arrived ahead of their parents and siblings, in May 1893. Unfortunatly this person died just prior to their arrvival, unbeknownst to them, and they had to fend for themselves until their parents arrived in November of that year. Sorry to run on, but I just figured this out as I was writing you. I had heard that it was a friend or relative that was to meet them and looking at the death date for this other Heitmann, it fits the story.
Thanks again for the the offer and I will take it.
(Heitmann on my dad's mom's side of the family)

Thanks for capturing the headstone of Harry Reid. These days are perfect for being in cemeteries!

Sheryll - Thank you so much for the tombstone photos, esp. that of Miss Piosik who was a teacher in my home town. I really appreciate your time and effort.

|Jennifer Madison||Fredrick & Emeline Weiss|
Fredrick & Emeline are buried with William Weiss(7/10/1891 - 12/13/1915) and Herman Weiss (11/11/1884 - 06/26/1907). These might be their sons. If you want those photos, I will get them this weekend or next. (Because of trees, they need to be photographed early in the morning.)

I note that his wife is not linked to his site.
Any special reason for this? Just curious.
|Sharon Brecke||Julia Phillips Thieret|
I've been looking into Julia's kids - 4 Death Certificates on them give Mother's Maiden Name as "Phillips", one 'Unknown' - but on Theodore Thieret's Death Certificate, there is listed "Julia Conway". ...Close to the 'Connolly'! Informant listed as August H. (his brother)... So there's got to be something there on the Connolly or Conway thing. Can't find early census on her, but wonder if mother remarried to a Connolly or Conway...? Was hoping you could help solve the mystery. ~ Anyway, thanks for the reply! And no, she's not my direct line, so won't ask for transfer of ownership on Julia's Memorial Page. -- Keep up the good work!!! S.
