Bio Photo Amateur photographer in Massachusetts who has always enjoyed wandering through cemeteries and taking photos. Discovery of Find A Grave now gives me an excuse to get out with my camera and take photos.

And yes, my profile image is indeed from an actual headstone in the Forefathers Burial Ground of Chelmsford, Massachusetts for Oliver Fletcher (d.1771) (Find A Grave Memorial# 18168422).

I truly appreciate that you took the time to take the perspective photos of the site and the clear closeup pictures of Latitia (Richardson)Caldwell's monument. There is a listing "Old Age Burials" (75 years and older) cataloged by Walter Wilson, of School Street, Riverside, West Chelmsford, Old Tewksbury New Teksbury Centre, and Forefathers Burying ground ( He listed John and Latitia under Forefathers Chelmford Cemetery with their correct death dates and his correct age. Mr. Wilson's list may have been from cemetery records as your photo of Latitia's stone clearly shows age 79 and he had her age as 74 or 79. Perhaps John has an unmarked burial. Again, thank you!

Thank you for transferring Violet Cater to me. When I locate her parents' burial site, I will link Violet to them.

Violet Cater - Memorial # 78227977
Hi Patrick,

Violet Cater was my dad's 1st cousin. She is buried with her grandparents Charles & Sarah (Monroe) Woodward.

I posted Charles & Sarah's memorial, but at the time didn't realize Violet was on the back of the gravestone. Thank you so much for posting it.

Would you be interested in transferring this memorial to me? If not, I have her birth and death information and will provide you with that information.

Thank you! Do you remember if that is in the right front corner of that yard, if your back was facing Gorham St? My family thinks that she is a lost relative of the O'Brien family. The O'Brien stone and Carroll family stones are in the same corner, I hope. Her name was Ellen O'Brien and one of her sisters was my great grandmother, Catherine Carroll. If she is buried close by the family then I suspect that she is part of the family.
