I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.|
If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations transferred just let me know. (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.
Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.
This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.
In case you do not wish to read FAQ146 it states "Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

|Barry Gates||RE: RE Cemeteries|
Thanks! Did you find any of the other cemeteries?
|Barry Gates||RE Cemeteries|
Hi Denise. I like Symonds and Howe Cemetery descriptions. See what I did to Fuller-North:
and please consider updating Fuller and Old-Fuller. That is, think there are three Fuller Cemeteries in Middleton, that is, Fuller-North, Fuller-Richardson and Timothy-Fuller.
I notice you decided to give Fuller-North an aka of "Fuller". Perhaps they all should have that alias?
Otherwise, looks great for now. Otherwise, I just put a few more blank lines in. Thanks! Barry
|Barry Gates||Re Missing Cemeteries|
Thanks re thinking of finding the missing cemeteries.
Re Gregory Street (technically in East Section), that is probably the Middleton Colony of Danvers State Hospital. I saw the numbers-only stones a decade ago. They are building anew there now. I do not know where they have re-interred the bodies, nor if they are already on the memorial on the ex-DSH land or added, or not even. My Hows (Howes) are from there, and one of my Hows is in the Howe Cemetery (an ancestral father-in-law), but I know there were other Howes in the North Section at one time.
Re Thomas Rd, that you may find to be a private road now (or it was, and now is not). I believe that will turn out to be the Richardson Cemetery (not Fuller on Richardson, which is located where the latter's current farm is, off MA-114).
I expect Fuller North and Howe to be off Essex and North Liberty streets, or vice versa, Symonds to be off East (due to burieds Boxford origins), and Elliott who knows (they came from away, probably Beverly, and married into various families, including the Flints of South Middleton, so I'd guess it would be somewhere in the Central District, but that'd be a guess). I have company this weekend, or I'd do more now. Thanks for the help (just what I was attempting to "instigate", ... grins here). Regards, Barry.
|Barry Gates||Re Joel Peabody|
I must have been getting tired, when it came to placing Joel. Fixed. Thanks!
Joel's record is definitely GR5, and the family's records definitely have GR1. But those note marks are only given if the record is missing from the town records (or in braces, if the details differ, which is not the case, here). So all of these death records are perhaps only records of a "reconstituted" variety (from the stones). It is doubtful that the printer would be allowed to change 1 to 5 due to running out of 1's for a page, even back then, due to the nature of the printing project being undertaken. Perhaps they kept the 5 for just Joel because he was there. Maybe the whole family will be there. Some of Meredith's family moved from South Middleton "into town" during the latter half of the 1800s, so perhaps that would be true here, too.
Danvers Vitals also has his death date recorded, with no age, but adds "very sudden". That is unattributed, so it should be a town record, and probably was his actual "place" of death.
|Barry Gates||Re Joel Peabody (Missouri?!)|
Actually, I agree with your second statement. He has his name on a stone in Oakdale, for sure. Can you provide the source which proves he was buried there? Barry
|Barry Gates||Re Joel Peabody|
I think I remember being in on figuring out where he was, sometime before this. Maybe I'll just nag John G. to put the contrary information on his memorial. (I haven't bugged him since it was still snowy.) Cheers!
|Barry Gates||Re Hannah Lummus Killam later of Middleton|
See if her memorial page at GRid=145437739 looks better now.
Also, please drop me an email if you have any further info on finding the actual locations of the remaining minor Middleton cemeteries? (Fuller North, Howe, Symonds, and Elliot)

Thank you for that. It seems I accepted someone's addition without researching it. My bad!

Good Morning, Denise...
I hope you won't stop looking for this 8th grandmother of my husband's...
