I'm located in Westford, MA. I'm married, and have two children. My oldest is a 1st year graduate student at Jefferson University School of Pharmacy (PharmD). My younger child, at UMass - Amherst, a senior, studying Business.|
Both my wife and I are Nurse Practitioners, both working full time. So I do my Genealogy and Cemetery Research when there are NO demands from work, friends or family.... This doesn't happen often, so it seems ;o

Hi Brad it is in bad shape. I need to go back with some flour and see what I can do. The whole cemetery is bad bad shape.
|Sarah Atwood Bardwell||RE: Atwood|
I put my home computer in the shop yesterday, and I needed to look at my work computer for notes on family history. Sorry for the delay.
My brother, Ted Atwood, did research a number of years ago. This is what he found:
"Search for the parents of Alec Atwood"
Information that was given By Biddie Atwood-Arnold (our aunt) and Earnest Thomas Atwood (our dad) was used as the basis for our research.
Biddie Arnold gave the name of Alec's father as Washington. Earnest Atwood's info has been condensed and is as follows:
Alec's brothers were John, Wash, Wade, and Berry. Alec's sisters were Ellen, Mary, and another whose name is not known. The married names of the sisters were Schriber, Ferguson, and Trotti. It is not known which sister went with which married name.
The family led by the mother left the old home place and started for Texas with slaves and possessions some time before the end of the Civil War. Alec, Wash, and Wade came home before the end of the war and started following the family to Texas. Alec Atwood & Maranda Pryne were married in Mississippi. The family settled along the Red River north of Alexandria, LA for a while before moving on to Texas near San Augustine. The old home place before coming to Texas was possibly in Georgia.
I have about 4 pages of information that my brother researched. you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org

I believe there may have been a Washington Atwood. Let me do some checking.
|Chelmsford Mark ||Gilbert Parker #40799625|
I have created memorial pages for Gilbert's parents, Zebulon & Rachel (Richardson) Parker (nos. 106655512 & 106655934, whose tombstones I stumbled upon quite accidentally in the School St. cemetery in Lowell last year), and was hoping you could edit your Gilbert Parker profile to put in the links, seeing as there's apparently no means for me to link the parents to the child.

Thank you very much. Would you please link Sarah (Josephs wife) to her father Josiah #21168219. I have tried sending this request the new way but I keep getting an error message and it tries to unlink her husband so I have to cancel the request. (her mother was Jane, Josiahs second wife)

Very nice photo.
I'm actually looking for Leonard Parker 1718-????, I think he should be in Fairview. I'll have to stop by some day and have a look.

Thank you for bringing my typo on the date to my attention. It has been corrected.

Brad, Sorry I did not reply earlier. I only check my memorials or messages at FIND A GRAVE once in a blue moon. No, I am not a descendant of Atwood, but am heavily involved in research on the Civil War veterans buried in Australia and New Zealand. We have about 250 to 300 confirmed and verified veterans buried here, and about 150 Civil War veterans buried in America or elsewhere, who were born in Australia or New Zealand.
What is your own interest in the Atwood family of Pennsylvania?
