Most of my memorial pages are for family. I also volunteer to take and upload photos for other members to their memorial pages. I often add plot location or other information in the photo caption. If you click on photo on the memorial page you will see a larger version of the photo where you can read the caption if one was added.|
I occasionally take other photos and make my own pages to upload them to. If I have entered a memorial for a family member of yours, and you would like to maintain it, please let me know. I will be glad to transfer ownership to you!
You can search digitized images of The Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel at Historic Archive-JSOnline. A very handy way to find Milwaukee area death notices.
The ability to search by date has disappeared from the Historic Archive-JSOnline. This link for Google News Archive -JSOnline will take you to a search of the same newspaper where you can search by date. I will leave both links up for now.

Hi, Judy! I found the plot edit for Sister Virtunia but I don't know the cemetery. Is it Elm Grove? Annie

Hi Judy, Perhaps it would be better if you did remove the photo request for now. I am planning on going back to the cemetery office this week to see if the engraving has been ordered and when they estimate it will be done. I will let you know what I find out.
Thank you so much for the photos of my relatives' gravestones, making the memorials complete. May I add them to my family tree at Ancestry.com?

Thanks for the transfer! I usually use the edit feature, but your profile said you were related to most of your memorials, so I didn't want to step on any toes. I've had people get insulted or angry when I've asked for relatives.
I believe Concetta's niece was also SSND. She was born Dorothy Bongard, but took the name Sister Mary Adelaide. In her later years she went by Sister Dorothy, and may be buried as that. I have no date of death, but her birth date was 2 May 1925.

Judy, just wanting to say thank you in return for your thoughts for my mother. I love the photos up for Dorthea. The photo of her ribbons is truly nice to see. Both my mother & I love(d) needlework too, and it's wonderful to see someone get honors for theirs.

Thank you for the information about Ethelyn. Quite a few of my relatives have been perplexed upon learning the cemetery did not have info.

You are SO amazing. I do not know if there are words to describe how meaningful it is to me to be able to see the headstones of my Herz family at Spring Hill, and for you to go that extra mile to take the wide angle shots so that I can see exactly where each grave lays in relationship to each family member. You are truly, in every sense of the words, My Photo Angel!
I am wanting SO badly to fly up to Wisconsin sometime in the near future.
Thank YOU again for everything you have done for me! Your are TRULY amazing!

Thanks for the heads up Judy. I sorted the order and they all look good. I agree though, the grass does need trimming.

Hi Judy, thanks so much for the photos. I was wondering if you had any contact info for where the cemetery records are kept. I am planning a day trip but have so many family members in the cemetery I could use more information. I use a walker so locations are key for me. I was also wondering if I could use photos in my ancestry tree.

Sorry it took me so long to answer, but my computer was having problems.
One confusion is that Cedarburg & Zur Ruhe Cemetery are adjacent to each other, so names sometimes appear on one place or the other or both! Yes, I was working off an old translation.
Since these are not my family, I would be happy to transfer any/all of them to you if you give me their numbers. Thanks, Jan
