It's that time of year again!

Check out Carl Braatz in Cedar Hill cemetery in Suitland, Md - F.A.G. ID # 96241199 - you will like this fellow a lot...leave some flowers too!

Note: any reference to the city of Washington versus the county of Washington, both of which were used in the early days of the District of Columbia (D.C.) will be omitted on my memorials or any requests to alter them since the residence of the deceased and/or the actual place of death would also have to be known and before 1850 or so. The city was divided into several parts when drawn up and laid out in the 1790s but these distinctions were dropped long before 1850. There is a need for some memorials of an early date to have this but for most others it is not accurate any longer. All are just Washington, D.C.

RE: Re: James Costello @ Ft. Lincoln
I have to be honest and let you know I am working on doing all of this cemetery. So by luck I hit the one you requested it is hard to find a single mark unless you have an idesa what section it is in. Office is obnoxious to work with.

George W. Hardy - #144052985
Hello Fred,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I've asked one of my cousins who lives near Davidsonville Methodist Church and Cemetery to please stop by and see if she can find George W. Hardy's grave marker and take a photo for us.

If she can't find it -- and you have the one you took of his grave in Cedar Hill in Suitland as well as his wife Evie and post it -- then we can ask Malia to delete's George's record showing him buried in Davidsonville with his parents and a number of siblings.

You're right -- sometimes the papers just don't get it correct about the location of interment. So despite what the Baltimore Sun reported that he was buried in Davidsonville we can make sure his Findagrave record is accurate with a photo of his headstone/marker you took in Cedar Hill in Suitland and delete the Davidsonville record.

Best wishes,

Martin Welfred Grigsby
Hi Fred
So I'm going to assume we are related some how. In all my research your name keeps coming up and your research. I have plenty of Sanfords, Grigsby's & Allens in my tree. The reason I am contacting you is, I noticed you put up a page for Martin Grigsby, buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery. There is no picture of his headstone. I have one. I can send it to you if you like. What is your email?

Womack and Ida Roy
Thank you for the photos of their markers. Sad to see that no one ever got Womack's death date engraved on his. I appreciate you taking the photos and giving me the heads up!

RE: 51111118 Mary E. Sears

Just made the request for the photo.

Are you still working in S. Md? I would be
happy to share information for a few family cemeteries that need to be located for photos.
