Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the lower part of the lower peninsula of Michigan just south of Battle Creek in East Leroy. I was born in the upper peninsula of Michigan in Munising. My maternal side of the family Smith/Perry came from Canada into the upper peninsula of Michigan and Fraly/Robinson side from Ohio/Kentucky.
I own a quilt fabric shop in East Leroy and work on genealogy almost every day.

I also work on my husband's side of the tree and the Dean/Butler side of his family came from England to Albion, Michigan. His Chamberlain/Sweet side of the family are from the Chicago area.

RE: Elizabeth Warner Cleveland
Hello Ruth ~ I am not related to E.W. Cleveland. I would be related to Rufus Cleveland via his mother Jerusha Wheat. She would be in a collateral line (of mine) with our direct descendant of Moses Wheat (d. 1700). I obtained the information re Elizabeth from the book ... Wheat Genealogy: A History of the Wheat Family in America by Silas C. Wheat, pub. 1903.

Love the name Pearl. My grandmother was Pearl Byers and my paternal grandmother was also Pearl. I have the middle name of Pearl which I also past on to my daughter. Unfortunately she had two sons. 😊

What a beautiful picture of Ellen Byers. She would have been my mothers great great grandmother. My mother was a Byers and grew up outside of Powassan. I live in Michigan also 😊

Howard & Frank Sebastian
Cord Cameron, a Sebastian descendant on a different branch from the brothers Howard & Frank, knew Howard and his son, so was able to add nice photos of both Howard and Howard's son to their memorials. On Friday, I'm going to be seeing our friend Jennifer Gallis, who's a granddaughter of Frank Sebastian. If she doesn't forget, she's going to be having a photo of Frank Sebastian for us for me to see if I can get it posted on Frank's memorial. Sharon

RE: Lee Hovey

Good Morning Ruth,

You are very welcome. It was my pleasure! And, at a later date, I hope to retake that photo when Lee's gravestone is fully illuminated by the sun...with no obscuring shade. By the way, Lee and his parents were the only three gravestones in that plot.

Best Regards,

Mike Cronk
