Family history research has been an on-again, off-again hobby for the past 30 years. |
My immediate ancestral family surnames include Nielsen, Biel / Biehl, Pittman / Pitman / Bittmann and Witzke.
Geographic areas of particular genealogical interest to me include Shenandoah County, Virginia; Harrison County, Indiana; Cass County, Nebraska; Wabasha County, Minnesota; La Crosse County, Wisconsin; Framersheim, Germany; Rabenholz, Germany; Oering, Germany and Bydgoszcz, Poland.
My photos are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License. In other words, you may copy any of the photos I post on Find-a-Grave as long as you 1) cite me as the source of the photo(s) and 2) do not edit the photos in any manner. Thanks.

Thank you for your time in searching for this individual. He could've had just a stone for a marker or no one will ever know. I appreciate your efforts in looking.

Appreciate the photos of James and Ruth's Gravestone. Sorry for the late reply but had missed the success emails.

Rebecca Kern, 1802 - 1877
You have her listed as the wife of Henry Kern. But this Rebecca with the exact dates was actually henry's sister who never married and inherited the farm from her father Samuel Kern upon his death. She never married.
I have been to the farm but with flooding we weren't able to visit the Kern cemeteries (from what I can recall). So I have no cemetery photos to refer to, just published family histories.
It's always difficult when the same names repeat in families.

|S.R.F.||Address or Phone Number for Bunnell Cemetery|
You were so kind to search Bunnell Cemetery for the grave of my 2nd great-grandmother, Anna Louise (Bueto) Krintz. You did not find it, and you told me many stones were badly weathered, so I wrote to the cemetery. The only address on Find-A-Grave was Bunnell Cemetery, Reynolds, White County, Indiana 47980. No street address, post office box or phone number was listed. The letter came back to me and I called Directory Assistance, who said they have no listing for a Bunnell Cemetery in Reynolds, Indiana. Can you please help me? Do you know the address or telephone number for Bunnell Cemetery? S.R.F.

|John Bracchi||Mary Shipman|
Thanks for the marker photo for Mary Shipman, It appears that the photo changes her death date to 16 Sep instead of 6 Sep which is listed at her Find A Grave page. Do you agree? The resolution of the photo is low, so I cannot enlarge it to see really clearly.
