On closer inspection, I tend to agree that it is more likely a 4, especially if you look at the spacing of the numbers. I questioned it because it looked more like a 1 than a 5 for sure. And after I wrote the transcription, I wondered if it might have been a 4.
I think the 5 was picked up from the Tombstone Records of Dorchester County, which was compiled by Nellie M Marshall. It may have been a typo.
At any rate, when I go back to the cemetery again, I will look more closely at the stone itself, and perhaps I can take a rubbing of that area.
Meanwhile, I think you are pretty safe going with the 4.

You are welcome. The Duvall babies are listed on the cemetery computer database in Section B-99.
I just didn't find any stones.

I emailed the contributor of the duplicate memorial and asked her to delete it.
I have also sent requests to some of the contributors of Ebson & Elizabeth's children, and asked them to link to the parents.
Thank you -

You sent an edit request "Do you doubt the 12 Nov 1840 (or any) marriage to Ebson Stewart?" - please explain what you are requesting me to do.
The marriage of Elizabeth Capper to Ebson Stewart is in "Carroll County [Ohio] Marriages 1833-1849" transcribed from the old records & published in 1984 by the Carroll Co. Genealogical Society. [His first name is spelled Elison, one of MANY misspellings in the original records].
This marriage was also listed in a 1984 Capper family history by June Capper Killion.
Ebson & Elizabeth had 14 children, and were in the 1850 and 1860 census records. In the 1870 census, after Elizabeth's death, Ebson and some of his children lived next to two of Elizabeth's brothers, Stephen & Michael.
If you have conficting information what is the source?
