Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband, Morris Hudson, passed away in June 2009. He had been on the Owensburg Cemetery board for 20 years. He and I took care of the plot plan and he spent a lot of time helping to keep the cemetery clean. It was because of Morris' interest in Owensburg Cemetery that I became involved in its care. Morris kept copies of obituaries of people buried at Owensburg and that is where the idea for a book about Owensburg came from. Morris was able to read the first rough draft of the book.

Memorial# 129658547
Memorial# 129658547 - Edward is buried in Calvary cemetery. The other memorial that is in the washington Park cemetery is in the wrong cemetery. You call let william Tabor know and see if he'll delete the duplicate.

bio left with flower again
As you know flowers with bio information are going to be deleted because that is what it states in the Find A Grave guidelines.

I SAC your interesting story to the manager of the memorial and hope that it will post as I know the flower is going to be deleted. If not posted, I will ask Edit to do it.

Wow, thanks for pointing out my error. I know I must have meant to put him in as her father in the beginning. Now it has been corrected.

M C Harp
You left the following on M C Harp's memorial: Listed as Myrtle C. 02/03/1857-03/13/1933(wife of T. C. ~ should be wife of J. C.)This person is listed in the pamphlet "Crane's burial Plots" published by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana. February 12, 1999.

I think this M C Harp is McCager Harp and second wife Theodocia Fortner Harp. Is that possible? Thanks for your consideration. Debi Burgess

Desty Herron Phipps
Thanks for posting the obit for Desty Herron Phipps (findagrave 52091613). Do you know if she was the daughter of Alexander and Nancy Mize Herron? Alexander had a sister named Desty (Destimony)so I think it is likely Mrs. Phipps was his daughter, but I can't prove it.
Thanks,
Don Adams

RE: Corrections to Mount Olive listings
I just finished them...just double check them as I tried to being to your attention some that didn't have the information on title in the bio section. You have the 21 days before auto correction of the edits.

Be careful about putting bio information with flowers as those get deleted too. That is in the guidelines too.

If I lived close enough, I would make a day trip up to the old cemetery to get photos of the markers and inscribe the tiny/unreadable verse on some of them.

Have a Happy Healthy 2015!

RE: Naming on title of the memorial
"helped me to identify easily who they were."

My reply:

I understand but your system doesn't help the other members find them.

I didn't finish the edits as my phone ringed...but will get the others later.

Thank you for all your work on Find A Grave....interesting reads.

Naming on title of the memorial
You have on a memorial Infant d/o William and Lucinda (Carl) Clements

Find A Grave Memorial# 91042407

Find A Grave Guidelines for naming on the memorial:

Memorial Naming Conventions
If a hyphen or an apostrophe is part of the name, use the punctuation.
Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.
Do not use any other punctuation within any Name Field.
Do not use Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names in any Name Field.
Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any Name Field.

Shouldn't this title read "Infant Clements" and all the relationship information go in the bio section of the memorial?

The punctuation causes problem with the search machine indexing.
