Bio Photo Thank you for taking your time and leaving tokens. I am not related to any of these persons whose memorials are posted by me. I am interested in history of Polonia in the USA, mostly in Michigan and Illinois.

Death records, obituaries and cemetery records are my main source of information.

Maryanna Modelska Dybas
Hello,

I am interested in the family of Maryanna Modelska Dybas. Her second husband was Simon Dybas, my great-great-grandmother's younger brother. I am trying to find some records about them on Ancestry.com. Are you a relative? Would you like to exchange information about them?

Thank you,

Jason

Bernadette Szeliga
Could you please connect Anna Cichowlas Szeliga to her daughter Bernadette? Her number is 55990017. Or, if you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it if you could transfer her page to me. Anna was my great aunt, and as you can see if you view her page, I have done extensive research to connect her with her family. I hope to be able to visit her gravesite this year to get Vincent's information and add pictures of their headstones for their pages. Thank you for your time and consideration.

RE: Szymon Materna

Thanks for the reply. I think your information may be better than mine. I have a marrage certificate from the State of Michigan and since it is a "representation" they could have made a mistake. Handwriting can be hard to read .
I guess I will do some more research but in the meantime I will go with your version of her name. I think you are better informed than me.

Thank you so much for the translation I have fixed it and if you see any others please translate away and let me know. I have many more photos from the same cemetery and just never added them due to my lack of knowledge of Polish

RE: Walter Lisak
Witam
Bardzo dziękuję za szybką i obszerną odpowiedź.
Chętnie przyjmę ofiarowaną pomoc. Nakreślę zatem krótki rys historyczny. George (Wojciech) Lisak wyemigrował do Usa w 1909 roku zaś rok później wyjechała jego matka Balbina Lisak i brat Walter (Władysław) Lisak. W między czasie jak głosi historia rodzinna (nie potwierdzona) wyjechał ojciec obu chłopców Adam Lisak. W USA Balbina urodziła dwoje dzieci 8 grudnia 1910 roku Józefa (którego urodzenie w USA potwierdził jego syn) i moją prababkę Wiktorię urodzoną bodajże 19 maja 1911 roku. Rodzina zaraz potem wróciła do Polski zostawiając w Ameryce dwójkę starszych dzieci.

St Adalbert Cemetery
Hi Kamila,
The burial locations at the St Adalbert Cemetery were sent to me by a friend (an Army Vietnam Veteran)that lives in Chicago.

He also sent me some info with burial location of Vietnam Army veterans that died in Vietnam. As far as I could tell there were no memories created for them.

Would you like to have them? I could create the memorials w/some info and transfer them to you.

I had told him that I was only interested in Marines of which I have several to work on. He sent them to me anyway thinking that I would time someday, which is unlikely to happen.

If you are too busy that's ok. I can probably find someone. Thought I would ask you first because of your help with the Marine memorials.
Just let me either way. Thanks.

RE: Marines
Hi Kamila,
Thank you very much for the memorial transfers. You have been so easy to work with in letting me update this Marine memorials.
Most people won't let go of memorials, though they haven't done any updating on them for years.
I see history is being left untouched. If I find any others I will let you know.
I appreciate your kindness.
Take care,
Tony
