Bio Photo If you are submitting corrections to any of the profiles that I have created, please allow time for me to get them updated. I am a father of several small children, and work a full-time job. Find-a-grave is not my only life. And with that said, there is no reason to send nasty messages or emails because I don't jump up and make changes to a profile the minute you request them. Please excercise patience and respect.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. This is the POLICY of Find A Grave.

Lately, I have received a lot of transfer requests from other contributors wanting to simply add someone to a memorial that we have already created. If you do not fall in the above listed Find A Grave guidelines for transfer, then please do not waste our time or yours requesting a transfer.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

Transfers
You do realize that you still get credit, and "numbers" for creating a memorial even if you transfer it? Why would you want to cling to a memorial that isn't related to you? Isn't it better to have someone care for that memorial that is related? Not being obnoxious, I just never understood why some one would want to cling to memorials that they aren't related to. Just because it's a rule, and rules are violated all the time on this site, doesn't make it right. I have never understood the "numbers" game that people play. This site is to honor the dead, not enrich ourselves.

Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Edna Alford Williams in Earthman Memory Gardens.

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Texas Obituaries, where his/her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/obit.html.

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, JLM [or your full name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)
