Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for several years and have taken several pictures of my family and relatives grave stones. I am a retired pastor and my wife and I do a lot of traveling. I have many hobbies but photography probably tops the list even though some pictures don't come out the way I want. When I take a picture I try to make it as readable as I can and try to post all that is on the stone. I'm not just trying to post to get a large number but to help others with genealogy as I have been helped.
I have found a lot of newspaper articles and the funeral brochures that my parents had of people that I didn't know but I have posted several. I would be glad to help in any way that I can. I will transfer your relatives or close friends if they are not my relatives.
You may use any pictures that I have posted for genealogy purposes only.

James C McQuigg Memorial #116510394 Linwood Cemetery, Pana IL
I wonder if it would be possible if you can transfer James C. McQuigg's memorial to me,
memorial #116510394. He is my cousin and I have done a lot of research on him and his Civil War service along with his career as an attorney.
Thank you.

You have photographed the cemetery stone of my gg-grandmother Eliza Ann Bradley and also her son Capt. George W. Bradley. I was thrilled to find this! I do not know how to edit the site, but I do have a lot that should go on it!

Rachel Cravens Miller
Hello! I am a descendant of Richard Miller who married Rachel Chatham Cravens Miller. She was his third wife. His first wife, Flora Izetta Wakefield is my great grandmother. I noticed you have a gravesite photo but not for Richard, tho they are buried in the same place. Is there a photo of Richard Miller you might be willing to share? I am in Nebraska and have requested a photo through find-a-grave but so far no one has responded. I have photos of the gravestones of his first two wives in Oklahoma, though his second wife and he were only married about a year before she passed on. That is when he moved back to Illinois and married Rachel. I'm hoping you might have something that will help me. It's been hard to find help in the Shelby county area to be able to get copies of photos and death certificates. Thanks so much!

Myrtle B McTaggart Seiler
Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job of documenting so many graves. The genealogy community is forever indebted! I was wondering if I might ask you to change some information on the above mentioned listing. Myrtle B Seiler was originally Myrtle B Hanna and she married John Harry Seiler. The reason her mother's name is McTaggart is because it was her mother's 2nd marriage.
Thanks so much!

RE: Mary Haverstock
No problem. I did notice that some of the last names were Hoverstock and some were Haverstock. Somebody has registered the names under Hoverstock as well. You may want to see if you can merge the records.

Alice Burden Haverstock photo
You asked me who was in the photo with Alice Haverstock and I have to guess it was one of her sons, Walter or John. I have no idea where the original photo is now but it might have the name of the child on the back of it. I'll have to hunt it down. Are you related?

ML McMahon
Hello Rev Sims,

I am writing in reference to my 3 times great uncles site for which you took a picture: ML McMahon, buried in Pan, Christian Co, Illinois.

He was a civil war vet and how great you found his tombstone. I do have the approximate year of birth and place for him:

Full name: Martin Luther McMahan/McMahon
DOB: about 1835, Ridge Prairie, Madison Co, IL.
Date of death: unknown. However, I found on his pension card a line for: widow, 7 August 1886 so I would assume he died in 1886.

Thank you for your time in taking all the photos for
