I live in southern Illinois and recently rediscovered my old love for genealogy. My daughter and I enjoy visiting old cemeteries in our area and gathering information and taking photos. |
Currently I am researching my family's genealogy. The surnames I am researching include: Hartline, Dillow, Davis, Ferguson, Leyerle and related names on my father's side AND Osman, Kelley, Mathis, Dayvalt (Davault, Daywalt, Daywault, or other variations), Kerley and related names on my mother's side.
I will take photos of tombstones located in cemeteries near me on request and will fill these requests as I have time. Please email your photo requests to me with as much information as you can so I can locate the tombstone you are looking for.

I just looked at your profile more closely and you actually have some of my family names that are connected to you! What a coincidence.
|Brynn Edwards||Syrian Davis|
I saw your flowers left on you grandfather Tillman's memorial and I wanted to offer to transfer Syrian to you as well. I was going through some website one day and found his and his daughter Mary's deaths and they struck me so I ended up putting them onto here. I'd be more than happy to transfer any of them that I do have so that family can upkeep their memorials as they are lacking quite a bit on my end of information except place of death. I would love to know more about their lives and deaths if you have any information to share with me. I see that they both died on the same day in Havana, Cuba so that may be what struck me the most. If I don't respond quickly it is because of school, work, and my son! So a quick response doesn't mean that I am ignoring you. I do find it interesting though that they are connected to Southern Illinois! I would have never guessed that in a million years.

You took photos at this cemetery. Could you possibly tell me exactly where it is.
Thank you very much.

You posted a picture of the Alto Pass Cemetery. Can you tell me where that cemetery is located? I'm trying to find it on a map.
Thanks for the updates & transfers! Don

Thank you for the transfers. Emma is my Grandfathers sister. Mary Wood is her mother-in-law. Jacob is also 3 generations removed for me. My G-Grandmother, Sarah, was his daughter from his 1st marriage, Rachel Crite. I've been away from it for away awhile doing Patriot Guard funerals and Find-A-Grave requests and lots of motorcycle runs with various veterans groups.
Talk at me later,

Yep, it's true... I love cemeteries! We've hiked to several in the Shawnee National Forest this winter. It's best to go to them in the winter - less ticks.
It will be nice when it's warmer to go to some of the easier ones. Maybe we'll see each other while we're out!

Glad to see you on Find A Grave! It's been a while.
May I also have a transfer of Jacob who is my G-G-Grandfather. #68894307
