I started researching my family history after my mother died from a hereditary disease but got hooked and have been climbing the family tree for over 30 years. I hope I have contributed to the family history for generations to come.|
I am a volunteer with the Portage Community Historical Society and they have allowed me to have a genealogy and historical research area in the Goin Museum. If you have an early Portage Township family, consider donating a copy of your family history to our museum.
My Favorite Poem
A Daisy Beside the Rose
by Diana Sue Lindley Horton
Among the many flowers, God,
Within Your garden fair,
May I, a simple daisy be
So proudly standing there.
I need not be the most admired,
Great beauty to disclose;
It's certain in Your garden,God,
Not all can be a rose.
'Twould be to me an honor,
If where Your garden grows,
I could but be a daisy -
That stands beside the rose.

|Robert E. Tapscott||Nila Lucille Morgan Wolfe|
For Calvary Cemetery, Portage, she is listed as though Morgan was her birth name. Her birth name was Sweet. Her father, however, was Richard Morgan Sweet. Somehow or other her father's middle name was confused with her birth name. Her listing should be Nila Lucille (Sweet) Wolfe. She is my Dad's first cousin.

I submitted change request earlier today for Perry L Trowbridge 9408827 and now am not sure if it was correct. I was working on the assumption that the site was for Perry Joseph Trowbridge 1913/1974, but now wonder if it is really for his son Perry L Trowbridge 1934/2002.
The existing information on the site seems to be mixed for both father and son. The dates and notes match the son, but the obit & links match the father. Do you know who this memorial is actually for?

Thank you so much for the photo. it is greatly appreciated.
|Terry Gard||Frank R. Moran|
Kathy - Thank you for maintaining the records. Frank R. Moran's widow was Evelyn C. Moran. His daughter, Linda M. Moran was born May 28, 1944, two and half weeks before his death on June 15, 1944.
Frank R. Moran was a 1st Lt. in the 507th PIR, 82nd Airborne. His jump roster, June 6, 1944, shows that he was the first to jump that morning and was separated from his unit.
Frank attended his father's private boy's school.

Hello Kathy, I'd love too but I currently reside in the Kansas City area. We don't have plans to visit the region due to work constraints. Are you by chance the mother of Margaret?! If so I didn't know YOU were thee! How are you!? Hope all is well.
|Nancy Craig - Holtzman||RE: Nacy Crowe|
I do not have much information on the Crow (e) side of my family. I wish I could be more helpful. Are you related to Nacy Crow?
|Jane Bickett||Roy Lee Crow (e)|
If you are not related to Roy Lee Crow, would you be willing to transfer him to me? Roy's mother was my great aunt. If you are related to him...well, hello! My # is 46936631. Thanks.
