I believe that Find A Grave is a great resource for individuals who are doing family research. This is one of the reasons I love to create memorials. I am rewarded when someone contacts me and tells me they have found a loved one and I am able to add information to the memorial or transfer the memorial to them. It is my hope that others will also find their loved one's resting place through Find A Grave.

Hi,

Thank-you for linking him to his parents. I just added a photo of his mother, Tebie, to her page. I have looked at the website you gave me for the old papers. Thank-you so much for letting me know about that.
Take care,
Karen

Hello, GJ.

From what I found on-line (under the Familysearch.org website) it says Samuel Loy's wife, (Laura McDonald) was "Single," so it gives her last maiden name as (McDonald). Thanks for adding the information to Samuel Loy's Memorial.

RE: Cobbs Burial Ground
I apologize. I looked at the cemeteries again today and have no idea what I thought I was seeing last night. Just too much genealogy I guess!!! I never did find the cemetery that I thought you had put on Find a Grave. Anyway, sorry to have bothered you. Hope you have a nice weekend.

RE: Cobbs Burial Ground
The cem I am referring to is called Cobb Burial Ground, located at Brookneal, Campbell CO, VA. There are two old cemeteries located on this old Cobb farm. They are separated by a wall. You have some really nice pics of this cem. There are also some Cobbs there, who are my family. The cem, as far as I know is called Cobb Family Cemetery. I added this cem to Find a Grave and was wondering if the two should be attached, but not real sure what the answer is. My gosh you have added a ton of things to Find a Grave. I am very impressed.

Cobbs Burial Ground
Hi. My name is Helen Cobb Rehm. The pics you put on Find a Grave are beautiful. I have researched the Cobb family for a long time. So, can you explain why there are no Cobbs listed on the cem listing? I have been told by the lady who lives in the old Cobb house, there near the cem, that there are really two cemeteries. So, are the names you have on Find a Grave the names of burials in just the one cem? I know there are some Cobbs buried there, John, I think, and his wife. Not sure of more. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

I see now where you posted which newspaper it was from. I did not know this paper existed in Irvington. Where do they keep those archives? Possibly at the library in Kilmarnock?

Thanks again for your time,
Karen

Hi GJ,

My name is Karen Berry and I just read the article that Berry's mother wrote about him. Her name was Tebie DeShields Packett Reynolds. I was very touched by what she had written and also surprised that this existed. Could you please tell me if this came from the Rappahannock Record or another newspaper? Thank-you so much for posting this. Tebie was my great grandmother on my father's side of the family. I can be reached at berryetc@aol.com.
Thank you so much,

William "Bill" Shackleford
Sir,
Thank you for posting my friends name and bio on this website. I learned of his death too late to attend his service. I worked with Bill for a few years, I was honored to call him friend. He taught me a lot. Thank you again!
