Bio Photo Dear Ancestor,
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chisled out
On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonded if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday, I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Kenneth Platt
I just read the problem about Kenneth not being in Clovis Cemetery. If I can't find a more informative obituary that mentions the cemetery, would you tell me if his wife (name?) is still living or not? If she predeceased him, finding out where she was buried might be where he is. Please let me know ASAP, I plan to go to the library for obituary research tomorrow or maybe Sunday afternoon.
