RE: John Hood
I had gotten the DOB directly from the obit. I have found many errors in the SSDI info. What I would recommend is that you perhaps leave the month section of the DOB blank and add a note in the bio section sharing both dates and their sources. That way if someone is doing a search it won't block them out.

I am transcribing the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery for the Maine Old Cemetery Association and thought you might like a little additional information that I have from both church and cemetery records. From church records it appears that Mary's middle name was Albertina. And from cemetery burial records - her date of death was 17 December.

Coffin family

Wanted to tell you that I enjoyed (maybe that is not the right word) your site. My brother was Scott Coffin, son of Leroy Duncan Coffin. We had different fathers but the same mother. Nonetheless, he was my brother and I loved him very much. I was clicking around and came upon your site. What a lot of work was put into it. I remember the Boyds when I was a little girl. We used to go to "Uncle Eddie" house. I never, at that time, realized the genealogy of it all until I looked at your site. My mother was a great friend of Winine's and I remember Richard. Also, I remember "Junior" Boyd coming to our house and we used to play Monopoly. I was probably 9 or 10 at that time. Often wondered whatever happened to him but I see his obituary on your site. I also see on your site Mary Coffin Bryan. I had been iin contact with her a few years ago and learned a lot from her about the Coffin family. They all go back to Tristram Coffin.

Again, I really enjoyed looking at your site......thanks so much.

Strout
Hello,

Just noticed your Strout Family entries at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, South Portland. Question: Are they related to you? Are they husband and wife? Do you know of any other Strouts?

I am asking these questions because I descend from a Carrie Strout, born South Portland about 1854... but I can't find anything about her or her family. She married John C Jones and their child Ada Belle was my great grandmother's mother.

Thanks in advance for your time... JP Fortin
