Hello, Glad you stopped by. It would be nice if you could pull up an Email and chat a while.|
My interest in genealogy was sparked many years ago by a cousin researching our COHOON family. Then came the computer and Family Tree Maker. My Mother's family was added as Aunt Jackie started sharing her WILLIS interest. With retirement came the family tree project COHOON - WILLIS and connected families.
I have fallen in love with "Find a Grave" and looking forward to collecting and sharing graves, photos, obituaries and other information.
Please send any comments, corrections, additions that you have. If I have a grave posted that you are more connected with I'll be glad to post what you have or tranfer the memorial to you.

|William Harrison||Bio update for Kenneth Warren|
Are you still active on Find A Grave?
I submitted an Edit for Kenneth Warren and I have not seen any response to that.
I have a copy of "The Book of Warren" and am working on adding memorials w/photos to members of the Warren family.
I have found several links to the Warren family by marriage, and personally know members of the Warren family in/around Charleston.

|Teresa Germann-Garside||Cohoon Infant|
Hello I found another Cohoon in Carlyle Cem. from reading of tombstones that I came across. Thought you may want to manage the infant's memorial and transferred to you. Sorry no dates but is still a relative and thought you would like to know.
|Phyllis (Porter) Zegers||Mary Willis Wharton (1851-1939)|
Hi, My name is Phyllis Zegers. I see from Find-A-Grave that Mary (Willis) Wharton (1851-1939), may be in your family tree. Mary is the daughter of Samuel Willis and Nancy Ann (Call) Willis Gardner. Mary died at the "Oregon State Hospital for the Insane" in Salem, Marion County, Oregon on 8/27/1939. I have recently created a memorial for her on Find-A-Grave.com. It is # 119631661. Here's the link: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=119631661
The memorial provides her death certificate, a bio, and more information about the location of her ashes. The ashes are being held at the Oregon State (Mental) Hospital and can be claimed by any blood relative. I have an interest in those like Mary who died at an Oregon State Institution and whose cremains have not yet been taken by the family. My hope is to let relatives know where the cremains are now in case they would like to claim them. Mary's Find-a-Grave memorial has links to the state department in charge of the cremains. On YouTube there is a trailer for a documentary video that explains the situation with the ashes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E95cb54tG9w
|Judy Rudek||Child of Jesse and Charity (Deaver) Etchison|
Feel free to add Mary Ann Etchison Evans (Memorial# 18767188) as a child of Jesse and Charity. She married Gazzam Evans, as his second wife, around 1860. I am descended from one her children with him.
|Jennifer Madison||Rosanna Cohoon|
I found a marker for a Frederick Cohoon at Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago (memorial #118891429). I was wondering if he is the husband of Rosanna Dunn Cohoon (memorial #87298436).

|Kathy ||Julia Cohoon|
I keep studying the COhoons and Grubbs - My grandmother being Gladys Grubb. I'm assuming since ulia was born in 1849 and her f ather married his first wife in 1849 that she is from the first wife. In the second wife's obit it lists her as her daughter, but I"ll assume she was a stepdaughter. Thoughts?

|Kathy ||RE: Cohoons|
So if Julia Cohoon is my great great grandmother, how are we related? I'm just now starting to research the Grubb side. I got stuck on misinformation on the internet and ancestry on my paternal grandfather's grandfather. No one can decide if his dad is one guy or the guy's brother lol. But someone had researched my grandmother's sister on findagrave and that's led me to you and the Cohoons/Grubbs. Dad always said he was sure there were scottish in the family.
As I said i've enjoyed all the info including the article about Pap's wagon accident.
