I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.|
If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations transferred just let me know. (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.
Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.
This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.
In case you do not wish to read FAQ146 it states "Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

|Catherine Clemens Sevenau||Old South Burying Ground William & Rebecca Chamberlain|
Hi Denise, Received your note re record of William and Rebecca Chamberlain being buried in Old South Burying Ground. I did not create these pages, Michael Smith did, so I assume he had reason to believe they were there. He generously transferred them to me as I am a direct descendent. I have all their history on these pages, (and yes, I realize Find A Grave was intended for preserving headstone and burial records) but it has helped solve hundreds of questions in my family lines regarding our history, and adding what I have to over 6,000 pages has been a part of that. You have the rule posted on your page that unkn burial cannot be used unless it was recent. I don't think 1706 will fall into that category. Under the circumstances, I prefer to not make them "unknown" burials. If someone comes up with information that they are buried elsewhere and create a page, then I'll work out with them how to handle duplicate pages. IF they have information that they are buried elsewhere, then I'll change it. If you prefer to email me directly, my email is at the bottom of my home page. Thank you for your input. Catherine Sevenau

For your extensive explanation about Timothy Prescott and wife. I'll watch out for maiden vs married names in the future. And thanks for the link to the Vital Records site.

Got your correction re: His mother. Could you point me at a source for his first wife?

He Denise: thanks for your suggestion about getting two photos removed from Patience Brewster's page!! I have written to both people (had written to one of them previously) to ask them to remove their contributions, but I'll also contact the 'site' page & perhaps they can help.
Best wishes for happy holidays!! Nancy

Funny, I was thinking they exact same thing and thought we should just change the memorial to be for Sybil.

I saw your 11/10/14 comment on Patrick's message board regarding Sorrina Thorp. Her DOB appears to be 12/9/1763 and her parents names were Oliver Emerson and Francese [--?--]. The transcribed birth document I found is listed as 'Sabrina' Emerson born in Douglas, Worcester, MA.

I did not know if this was a relative. If you want the documents please let me know.

Hi Denise, Thank you for bringing the correction to my attention. I added the photo to the correct Mary's site even though here was one already there. The one I sent was clearer, larger, and showed the epitaph. It's a beautiful cemetery with many lovely stones. It was fun to photograph, though I don't know Mary.
Best wishes, Barbara

Thank you Denise for checking that so quickly.I knew that didn't sound just right. I'm a stickler for getting the details right, especially when you are doing research for someone else.
Thanks again, Happy Thanksgiving
