Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Pierce County Georgia, the daughter of Vernon Mount Thornton and Ella Maxine Liles. I love doing family history and meeting new friends and relatives. My husband, Jerry and I have 8 children all grown and away from home. We have 16 grandchildren at present and three beautiful great granddaughters.
Since I put this on I now have a handsome great grandson.
I think find a grave web page is great and I appreciate all the folks that contribute.
Just this year 2009 there has been a granddaughter added and two great granddaughters. The family continues to grow.

RE: Ronnie Thornton
Lanette, was that cemetery known as the old Daniel Kirkland cemetery? I don't remember a Thornton cemetery there but I'm not too familiar with K'ville. I may need to ride over there and get the GPS coordinates and a photo or two.

William Henry Dixon 53645202, Ramah Cemetery, Pierce Co. Ga.

I am unable to reconcile William H. Dixon to be the son of Nathan Dixon in Ramah Cemetery, born 1844. The father would have been only 15 years old.

Please consider Nathan A. Dixon, in Enon Cemetery, Pierce County, Georgia as a possible father of William H. (Wife Harriett Williamson)

William H. is listed in the memorial's 1870 Census, as being 9 years old, and the parents are of the proper age.

Please let me hear what you think.

Hi Ms Morton.

Regarding your question about your GGGM. What was her name? Do you know where she was born? When did she die?

I went back and looked at the 1920 census of McIntosh county where Judge Rozier appears and the Elizabeth in his home then was born in Florida.

My Great Grand Aunt Lucinda certainly wasn't born in Florida. My source for her marriage to Judge Rozier is her death certificate as witnessed by her younger brother (My GF) Grooms Middleton. But I can find no other source for that marriage.

Going forward, can we communicate directly via email? Mine is

RE: Charles Skinner
You are very welcome happy to help.
I am just sorry you had to wait such a long time to have your photo request fulfilled.

I have added memorials and photos for a number of other Skinners in Ditchingham that may be of interest to you.

All the best Nigel
