I live in the Fayette County Il. area and weather permitting can take cemetery photos at request. If you are a family member or researcher you may use them for your trees. In turn please pay it forward by doing the same kindness for another if you can.|
Sharing just a small story, working down at the tail of Fayette co. and I saw my first red fox, what a blessing after it finally saw me and ran toward the woods it turned to look at me and pose for a photo.
I think it is wonderful that Find a Grave and Ancestry have teamed up and these links connect with searches. Cemetery records are a great source that we put on the memorials that cannot be found on Ancestry. I get joy out of finding members of families that don't have any records. I do this from the heart and please feel free to use my stone photos for your trees.

Any info you find on the Meseke name would be appreciated. I have tried to look for the historical society of Fayette Co. and find any records, but they don't have much on the Internet. If you know where to locate any records for my great-grandmother, I would be indebted.
Louise Wilhelmine Maria Meseke
Birth 27 October 1873 in Vandalia, Fayette, Illinois, USA
Death 5 April 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Her parents were:
Wilhelm "William" Meseke
Birth January 1842 in Germany (lived in WI, moved to IL and back to WI)
Death abt. 1910 in Washington State
Mary "Maria" Moser
Birth 1847 in Wisconsin
Death in Washington or Wisconsin

That would be wonderful...if you have a digital copy, you could send it to my email@example.com e-mail. Louise Meseke b in Vandalia, IL was my great-grandmother and her father was William Meseke from WI. They moved back and forth from WI to IL and back to WI. We barely knew anything about their family and I have been piecing together the MESEKE name in Fayette Co. and into St. Louis, trying to connect these. If you are family and have ancestry.com, please look at my tree (PAULUS_PIEMONTE FAMILY TREE)and see if it can help you and if I have the correct info. I have been going by records and the few who have been working on this surname. William married Mary Moser and I have no other info on her. Still trying to figure that one out. Thanks for your help

You're very welcome!

Anna, I think the dates on your memorial of Jose are incorrect. As seen on the head stone, it seems they dates should be 1921-1973. The dates 0f 1911-1977 are for Joe Lara interred in the Garden of Veterans. I made the assumption your wanted Jose, spouse of Helen.

I am a descendant of the George Washington Causey family of the Vandalia, IL, area. I am researching the family, invluding all their descendants, and I am very interested to learn what information you might be aware of concerning their family and the Causey Cemetery in Bear Grove Township. I see you have located it. Wonderful! Your help for people tracking their family graves in your area is very commendable. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Well like I said I didn't make the memorial because I knew JoLynn. I did it for a friend of mine who was friends with her and wanted a memorial for her. I guess I'll leave mine up unless I hear from the sister asking that I take it down. Hers is not linked to the parents either.. But being new she may not know how to do that. Any advice?
|Heather Cottrell||RE: JoLynn Garnat|
Yes I figured it out. If the sister would like my memorial I'll transfer it to her. I made mine first and it has your picture. Maybe the sister could see about putting the death date plate on the marker. Are you friends with her away from Find a Grave?
