Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Daughter of a Union Veteran of the Civil War. (DUVCW) My Great Great Grandfather, John Delong fought in the Civil War. I am unable to find his grave. He died in Spencerville, Ohio on June 17, 1895 at the age of 84. I volunteer at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Home for Veterans.

I am an United States Air Force Veteran.

Also I am the secretary for the Grand Rapids Civil War Round Table. And I am a director on our newly formed group, Friends of Michigan Veterans' Homes. We raise money for the little extras for our Vets in the Homes.

It is hard for me to pass a cemetery without stopping. Lucky for me, my husband has the same interests.

Please if you request a transfer, please use the EDIT key. Also send me your ID number.

RE: THOMAS KENNEDY-OAKHILL
I talked with my friend at the City Cemetery today and she has put in a call to her maintenance crew to raise Thomas' stone. Expect this to be accomplished within a couple weeks.

RE: THOMAS KENNEDY-OAKHILL
Hi Beverly,

Thank you for your continued service to our veterans! I appreciate you.

I have marked Thomas KENNEDY's headstone with a proper veteran flag/marker. It should be easy to find. Be careful however, it is a deep hole that I have carved out. You will have to kneel down beside the grave to see the inscription.

As for the baby buried in Section 11... I will see what I can find: if nothing else, the exact location of the baby's burial.

Are there any other missing Veteran's that you are aware of?

Death Certificates
Thanks so much for including Wilbur E Hall's death certificate on his memorial. It helped me to verify that Elijah was his father and gave me the name of his mother Ann Cummins. They are my maternal 3rd great grandparents through son Benjamin. Are you related to the Halls? I thought I noticed that you had done many Hall memorials. Thank you for all your hard work. It is priceless.

You might be interested to know that 2 of Wilbur's brothers, Benjamin J and Abraham also fought in the Civil War.
