Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

We have been researching for a couple decades. Families: Buckmaster, Patterson, Wollam, all variations of Teatsorth, Falk/Faulk, Johnson, Lee, Collier, Eschbarger, Orr, Brinton, Thomas, Grau, Hyde, Case, all variations of Brandeberry, Richcrick (Reichenbach), Slote, Balken, Ulmstead, Flower, Dick, Graham, Hyatt, and many more.

Also a focus on those who have fought for and kept us free ~ our American veterans. We have a virtual cemetery for these units: 31st and 49th Ohio Infantry who fought during the Civil War.

RE: Lieut John VanWey Pickering
My apologies. I hadn't read down far enough on John's memorial page. Unfortunately, his wife died in 1893 and that entire year is missing from the Boyne City newspapers. :(

I agree. I haven't come across who his wife was or I would check for her obituary as well. If you come across that information, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Patrick

John Benjamin Brandeberry
Hi,

I had information that Professor Brandeberry was interred at Toledo Memorial Park. Could have been an error due to the other Brandemberry's (who don't seem to be a relation) that are buried there. Just curious if you have any information - I thought perhaps there was a memorial at one, burial at the other, or he was moved at some point.

Thanks!

It probably is a duplicate. The list I received had the names listed alphabetically but did not state which was maiden or married but the women were listed 2 or 3 times under different last names.(depending on where they fell in the alphabet.)I typed the list, as it was printed, in hopes that researchers would let me know which was the correct name to use. I wanted to get the burials at Brunersburg listed so researchers could at least know if their ancestor was buried there.
This particular person was listed under Funk..and then I found her listed under Buckmaster, not knowing which one was the maiden name. I did remove the one I posted since yours had dates. your location listed was sec. 5 row 7 and the info I had was sec. 5 lot 29-D. Thanks for the update and let me know if you find any more duplicates.

Many thanks for the speedy additions, Buck and Julie. You're not the first to accuse me of crawling out of the woodwork! The teamwork is much appreciated.

Thank you! I know I have put a lot of edits into your queue.
If you would rather transfer some of them to me, that is ok. Thanks again.

Did you add this cemetery? If so, I have some additional information from the Allen County, Indiana public library you may want to include. I'd be happy to email a copy of it to you. Thanks!

Austin Family
Hi. Just curious if you are related to Margaret Austin Knight #30011040? Noticed you managed quite a few of the Austin family memorials. I didn't see their surname on your list.
