RE: Myrtle Cope
Veneita - Thought you might be interested in Myrtle's husband and his 2nd wife.

Herbert L. Cope, the humorist, is to drive away the blues of the local folk one evening soon at the Collegeport Church . Cope is the chap who inspired and cheered more than a million doughboys in the army during the world war, and he affectionately is known by a large number of Uncle Sam's army as "Kill the Blues Cope."

Cope's own personal story is an interesting one. A few years ago he was the biggest hit at the lyceum and chautauqua platforms of America . He helped to put Michigan on the dry list. When the war broke out, he saw a chance to preach the religion of laughter to the boys and the officers and they all testify that he did much to raise the morale of those he came in contact with. Come and hear him.
