RE: John Klink 52921205 your welcome. I have appreciated all the work that those who went out and took the pictures. Everybody doing a little or a lot helps out others find out some very interesting history which by the way when I was in school did not like. Now look at this. Can you tell me anything about a Rudolph Klinck. I have been working with the Christian Klincks of Buffalo and feel that we have a connection there but I just can't seem to get it. The Gerbers, Klincks (Klink) were all together and German would have been the common denominator.
RE: Almira Carmichael 81281867 Sorry about that, must have missed that one. Almira's maiden name is Otis. I have a family book published in New York in 1859 for the Otis family. They are distant relatives on my mom's side. Well this book has been past down through the family and gives a pretty good family lineage. It shows Almira and who she married but not much more information on that part of the family. So my wife and me have been doing a lot of research. My wife has been doing Genealogy for many years. With her information and the family book I am starting to trace the family through Find A Grave. My guess is they named their son after the family name, but I have not yet research that area and hate putting something done until I can back it up with some proof.
Right now there is some confusion with Almira and Daniel Carmichael. Daniel Carmichael married Almira Otis on Sept. 16 1820. I just found the grave information that I am guessing is their children. (still researching) However Almira died in 1831 and in the family book a Daniel Carmichael (the same or another Daniel Carmichael) married Almira's niece, Eliza Otis on Oct. 25, 1832. I believe it is the same Carmichael and believe this was out of family convenience to marry, not sure and still researching.
So this is as much as I have for now but I will figure it out.
RE: Ray Van Hoesen 112124306 You are very welcome. His wife was my great aunt. Amazing what you find when you are doing genealogy! Please keep up the great work you are doing. Future generations will have a wealth of knowledge from what you do now.
RE: Claude Edwards 43429366 I have yet to find where Moses and Almira were buried. Almira was b 31 MY 1861 - d 19 Aug 1932 in New Milford, PA I have her death record, says she was buried in Downsville, NY. I have searched every cemetery in that area that is on line but with no luck. She was a widow in 1930 Delaware Co., living with McKinley, Rosa, 3 of her(Rosa)children and their son Claude. They could be buried in Riverview Cemetery in Hancock, which is only on find-a-grave, and not all recorded. I have been searching in the Delaware Co. site.
