Hi Ray, thanks for the date correction for Jane Smith White, it is the "27th" and I also changed the place of birth to Jonesboro, according to the "Easrly Families", book and the fact that Jonesport wasn't a town until it's incorporation from Jonesboro in 1832. Actually she was born before Jonesboro's incorporation, but the Plantation isn't on Find a Grave as a choice anyway, so this is the most correct choice! thanks again, Esther | | | Richard Gay

Their kids were Clayton "Buddy" Gay, Jr. and Geraldine Gay (m.Bob Bothe). My father was Charles Truman Gay, married to Pauline E, (Collins) Gay, of Bar Harbor. They had two kids, me and my sister Mary Ann Gay both of us still living. I married 3rd wife Marjorie (Byers) Gay of Andover, Mass. and Blue Hill. She died Aug,2012. | | | D Carter

Hello RA,
Is Mary Look Cemetery the same as Look Cemetery, Holmes Bay District?
While cleaning out my mother's files, I found a 1974 obit for Clyde Bassett, "burial in Look Cemetery, Holmes Bay District." I Googled and found "Look Cemetery" on the Cutler Road. Not finding it listed at Find A Grave, I created the virtual cemetery. Have since discovered the listing for "Mary Look Cemetery" at the same location on Cutler Road. I'm assuming I need to eliminate my newly created cemetery and move Mr. Bassett to Mary Look if they are the same.
Before I do that, is there another cemetery in the area that would fit the obituary description?
Thank you for any advice you can give me.
