Just letting you know Daniel now has a new monument (confederate soldier) erected as of Aug 26, 2014. I posted a picture of it on findagrave.

Hi Linda, I'm glad you liked the photo of Robert Byrd's name on the Wall of the Missing at Normandy American Cemetery. That photo was taken on June 6, 2014, on the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landing. My brother and I were there for the ceremony, and there were many veterans from the landing there for the ceremony. One of those names in that photo had a photo request listed for it, which I fulfilled. I also added the same photo for all the names that showed up in that picture. Words can't describe the feeling of being in Normandy and on the beaches there.
You are very welcome for the picture,

Did find something that "might" put kink in your records. Found a Daily Herald article where Emile and Ella were visiting his mother. The article stated that Ella was the former "Ella Mae Ferguson". That "could" mean, Thompson was a later married name for her mother. I couldn't find Ella Ferguson or Ella Thompson in the census records.

Ann Nash said you gave her the name of the cemetery on Cruthirds road in Vancleave/Biloxi. Is House of prayer Tabernacle Cemetery an old name of the cemetery? Because I was there the other day and it had a sign posted saying it was Cruthirds Road Memorial Gardens.

Thanks so much for the info.
I am doing my grandson's genealogy. My son and his mother did not marry. She married a Ruble. You have made my job easy tracing his family. Thank you. Lois

It has been sometime since I communicated with you. I just wanted to let you know that my husband, Kevin Entrekin, myself, and land owner of Entrekin Cemetery in Purvis (Wendell Lee) have been working for sometime now to get a new monument with full civil war credentials to replace broken monument of Daniel Stanford Entrekin. The veteran's association has approved a monument and it should be delivered any day now. I have read this letter many times as others have that Daniel wrote to his Sister N Law Susannah Rice Entrekin regarding the death of Daniel's brother James and other brothers during the civil war. We are hoping to have this original letter, if possible, engraved on a monument and placed in the cemetery where Daniel is buried at. Do you know who has the original letter and how to contact them directly? Is it the Quave family on ancestry.com?
