| Bio and Links | | I am working on mine and my husband's family tree. My paternal line is Brister - Townsend from Lincoln Co, Mississippi and Gwin - Willingham from Webster Co. Mississippi. My maternal line is Fulgham - Reed and Nason - Arnold, all from around Oktibbeha Co, Mississippi. As my husband is Active Duty military we live in Alaska and as far as research everything I do has to be researched online or contributed by "wonderful" volunteers or from any other contacts I am able to make online. I am glad to pass along any information I have to "distant cousins" and I would love to meet any others researching or in the same familial lines. | |

 | RE: 74279530 George Brister Hey, I was told this by my grandfather and his brother (Benny and Robert Brister). George was their great-grandfather. They were told by their father (Jesse E. Brister, 1906-1980). When my grandfather, Benny, and I took a trip to Brookhaven, MS and Bogue Chitto, MS we went to every cemetery we saw. The Alice Brister's grave I took a photo of wasn't his wife. I saw another Alice, but the name Brister was not on it, so i decided I didn't need a picture of that headstone. But when we got back home here in Louisiana, my grandfather wanted to find out more info, so we signed up on Ancestry.com and decided to pay for it. That is when I found out about the other Alice I saw was his 2nd wife. I was so upset at myself for not taking a picture of her headstone.
I see your maiden name is Brister, would you mind telling me who your father and grandfather are?
Also I do believe you have an account on Ancestry because I have used many of your info for my tree... My username is Istrouma1945.
Btw, I would love to know where you have recieved your info! | | | Peter Musta

 | RE: Thank you! Hello Alaskan Peach, you asked about my association with the folks buried at the cemetery in Morgan Co., Ohio. I had a friend who owns property near there. Some of us went there on Dec., 20, 2003, just for a week end jam session in the hills. I just happen to be very interested in cemetery research and found the little cemetery near by. My friends were kind to drop me off for awhile so I could photograph some of them. After posting the cemetery on my web site, I received an email from the granddaughter of Sadie Love, so I wrote about our chance meeting. Turns out this dear lady had been searching for the burial place of her grandmother all her life. The story is long, but her name is Irene (Kirkbride) Orbaugh, Irving Texas. If you would like to read more about the story, here's a link to one of my sites. The story is titled "The epitaph of Sadie Love". Here's the url link to the page:

The site is mostly about cemetery research. I have been the special project manager for Ohio GenWeb Ohio Tombstone Photo Project for about 10 years. I'm sorry to say I didn't have time to transcribe the whole cemetery, but there's links on my "Favorite Links" page to this cemetery if you wish to check and see if any other ancestral loved ones might be among those I tombstones I photographed. I also have been a member of Find a grave, for many years and just recently thought to share some of the burials from this cemetery with folks at Find A Grave. Kindest regards. Robert Sizelove, Sr.

 | RE: Marne Hanks Peach! I have received a reply and was given the information I needed. I just couldn't make out the marriage date on the headstone from the picture. Thank you so much! | | | Bob
 | RE: Velma Underwood Shelley I think the pictures you added are great. Thank you very much.

 | RE: Caulkins Hey, Georgianna! Thanks a million for the photos for Herb and Thelma! I've lived in snow country all my life, so did not expect anything until spring got there. We had snow on the ground this morning again, would you believe it? :-) Take care now - you're off to a good start! Sandra in CO | | |
