Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my Roots since 1974. My Grandmother Annie Elizabeth Scroggins Huffman told me when I was a child... "Kathy don't forget the ones who came before, if you do, they will be lost." I earnestly try to keep a record of each person's life, in that way they live on in history. The cemeteries of Old Liberty, near Scotland, Van Buren Co., Arkansas, eight generations of my family, Lost Corner, near Cleveland, Conway Co., Arkansas also eight generations, Robertstown, Conway Co., Arkansas, Walnut Grove near Hector, Pope Co., Arkansas, Cedar Creek and Mount Zion on the Pope/Conway Co. Line, Lowes Creek, near Branch, Gage and Crossno, near Etna, Cemetery Ridge, near Webb City, all in Franklin Co., Arkansas, Caulksville, Logan Co., Arkansas, Rock Creek, near Cozahome, Campbell, Scribner, Landis, all in Searcy Co., Arkansas are my family's cemeteries but you'll be able to find me anywhere on this earth creating memorials and leaving flowers for family and friends, Thanks to FindAGrave.

My OBJECTIVE like most of the contributors on FindAGrave is to PRESERVE the HISTORICAL RECORDS of those who came before.

My Home Page "Kathy's Kin" on Rootsweb.com is updated periodically. Please feel free to use any data from my database that pertains to your family, that's why I post data online, to help folks find their family.
Genealogy is my "Magnificent Obsession".

thank you re:Hugh Jones
Thank you Kathy for getting info on Hugh Lawson Jones Find A Grave#64755489. I am a contributor but am not very learned on anything but providing info
to you better able contributors with the know how to help get my familys info on the Find A Grave page. Sarah Jane Jones Huffman is my gr gr grandmother who married my gr gr grandfather after her first husband, Thomas Calhoun Jones died in MO in 1833 leaving 3 sons. She married Alfred Felix Huffman Sr. 9/1/1835 and had 9 more children. You have done great for me and I thank you. I have visited your "Kathys Kin" and thank you for the much info I have gleamed from there. Have a nice day and keep up the good work. sincerely Joe Huffman jk_huffman@hotmail.com 7/22/2014

PS from my understanding when old enough Hugh Jones was too sick to go to CA with his brothers, William Mitchell Jones and Richard Douglas Jones, to seek their fortune. I have copies from the courthouse of signatures from William and Richard for their share of their mother Sarah Jane Jones Huffman court ordered probate of her death.

RE: Dora Belle Scroggins Sugg Easlon Reid
I noticed your page has been removed, so I guess you found the one I made for Dora, who was my great-grandmother. Here is the link if you haven't:

I believe we corresponded several years ago about Elizabeth Franklin.

Maurice Harvell
My name is Angela Harvell and my husband was Maurice's Son Ronald Harvell. I am wondering if you could link Maurice to George W Harvell and Arlie Mae Best Harvell as their son? Feel free to contact me with further questions.

Dora Bell Scoggins Sugg
In reply to your posting regarding the burial place of this lady -
Dora married (1) William Thomas Sugg, 29 Jul 1897, in Van Buren County, Arkansas; (2) Nathaniel Bartholomew Easlon, 1947, in Oklahoma; (3) Chester Howard Reid, 15 Dec 1963, in Fresno County, California.
Dora has a gravestone in California and a findagrave memorial. Please delete her from the Berwyn Cemetery in Carter County, Oklahoma. She is not buried there.

Emily Benefield
Cornelius N. Benefield data
Kathy: I am a direct dec. of Henderson Benefield and Sarah Louisa Tackett. Corneluis N. Benefield is there son. Sarah Married Rev. Bewely after Henderson Benefield died. The data on his grave site is wrong. Can you correct it to show Benefield rather than Bewely as Henderson's last name. I would sincerely appreciate it and do also appreciate your work. Find A Grave Memorial# 37395481. I believe this is the no. He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, Marion County, Texas. Sincerely Emily Benefield

RE: Franklin DNA Match
Hi Kathy..hope all is well. Took a few months break from this so now I am taking another stab at this. Looking at your last response with your linage you stop at Henry Franklin B. 1748 and unknown wife. Is that your brick wall? One of the DNA matches oldest known ancestor is William Barnett Franklin so trying to see how my line fits in there. I believe it goes to Virginia and possibly ties in with the other Franklin's there since I also match with a Lawrence Franklin 1696 VA descendant.

RE: James P. Blain
Thanks for the transfers. We have another Contributor from Oklahoma who researches this family also. Many of the Blain relatives are buried just across the river in Oklahoma.

Robert H. Spindle
Hello Kathy,
I am helping a friend research Robert H. Spindle, B: 18 Nov 1855 in Coffee County, TN. The 1910 census shows he was living in Coffee County, and the 1920 shows he was living in Coffee County. He died in 1937 in Cooke County, TX, living with his son. The f-a-g shows he died in 1909 in Coffee County. Is this a mistake on his death date or are there 2 Robert H Spindles from Coffee County, both born about 1855 and both have wife named Alice? Thanks. Steve
