NOTE: If you find a submission you would like to have, and it's not my relative or dear friend, please contact me for transfer. I only recently learned this could be done, and I'd be honored to transfer any submission I have to you. Please feel free to contact me.
I would like to thank the creators of Find a Grave for this wonderful site. I appreciate their willingness to do this on a free basis, I know it is at a great expense and committment.
Find A Grave is not only a great source of comfort to friends and family, but also a great research tool for those researching their families. I also thank those who constantly add information from their local newspapers to help everyone.
Often I have visited other memorials on this site and have been touched by what a family or friend submitted and I left flowers. This may be why you see this message. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
I would also like to thank those who have visited my memorial pages and left flowers, some without messages. Thank you for your kindness.
My husband and I have deep roots in Texas. His family, maternal and paternal, came through Bowie County, Texas. There are hundreds of family members still living in the area. My family is from Oklahoma and Texas. I've been researching our families since 1980, and continue to add to the family circle. My focus has been on my husband's side of the family while my sister has worked on our side of the family and I help her. Please feel free to contact us.
Please visit our family sites at Autrey Connections and Gaddis Connections, as well as Bowie County, Texas and Genealogy. http://www.bowiecountytexas.net
Victor Chandler memorial Victor Chandler (#10769365) is my grandfather. Sorry to keep adding information on him for you to approve. If it would be easier, I would be glad to manage his memorial site. Thanks! R. Bryan
10843687 John Adam Moore John Adam Moore was my paternal grandfather. I am even named after him. Would it be possible to request that you transfer the management of his Find A Grave Memorial site to me so I can add more information to it? Thank you very much.
transfer Walter E. Farmer? Would you consider transferring Walter E. Farmer to me? I could more easily link a family together that was essentially split by the Civil War when Walter's father came west and became embroiled in the conflict.
Hello John Parvin Sample was my Great Grandfather. David Parvin (DP) Sample was my Grandfather.
On the 1860 census John & Diancy have a female infant named "C E" On the 1870 census they have a 10yr old named Elizabeth. Marriage Cert shows Celai and Joseph married In 1878. On this 1880 census where Joseph and Sealy (Celia) are listed - look 5 house up the street and you will see John and Diancy Autrey along with some of their younger kids including Texanna who is listed as a 5 yr old.
Texanna never married Joseph Sample. the historinas got it wrong!! She married Dan B Myers in 1894 (I have a picture of them on their wedding day taken in Beeville TX if you want a copy just email me. I also have photos of Thomas Marion and Martha Judith) Anna and Dan moved to Oklahoma then to Oregon. They are listed on numerous census. She died in Oct 1943 and is buried in Linn County Oregon.
Joseph Sample and Sarah Rutledge had Two daughters: Mary E and Lucinda. Joseph and Celia had 7 Kids: Dora Catherine, Susan Claricy, John Parvin, Lillian Claudie, Minnie Lee, Joseph Franklin & Edna Paralee.
There are lots of errors out there about John and Diancy's children An indebth study has showed me they had the following 10 kids:
Mary Francis 1852-1925 married Francis Marion Tubbs Jane Paralee 1854-1888 married Thomas Peter Campbell Thomas Marion 1856-1948 married 3 times Kate Colvin, Lila Jane Mitchell and Matilda Harris. Edward Pennington 1858-1941 married Amanda King Celia Elizabeth 1860-1907 married Joseph H Sample John Absolom 1862-1953 married numerous times Martha Judith 1864-1908 married Rev John Bloss Willaims Sarah E (Pink) 1868-1910 also listed on the 1870 census as Diannah married Andrew Jackson Timms Charles Wesley 1871-1910 married 3 times Annie Pruitt, Julia Smith & Lizzie Butts. Texanna (Anna) 1875-1943 married Dan B Myers
Transfer Hello, thank you for hosting many of these sites. Anne Marie Bleich of Ruston, La. is my mother. Would you mind transferring her site to me please? Please let me know if you have any connection to her, I know she lived in Austin, Tx for a while, and I also see you host many sites from the little cemetery in Ruston. Thank you very much.
Kizziah Autrey Hi Joe & Jo, I am helping that you can be of some assistance to me, my family has been digging for a line on my Grandmother's Great Grandmother for about 15 years, until recently we were not sure of a whole lot of anything about her but we have recently found that she was born in 1834, we have seen many places in Tennessee but I dont think that is the case. In digging for her we found a person of interest a William Jackson Autrey who was born in 1836 and I am trying to figure out if there was a connection between he and Kizziah as they showed up in the Izard County and Benton County Arkansas about the same time. Everything I have found points that Absalom and Elizabeth were the father of William Jackson Autrey if you have any idea on this could you please let me know! I myself have been at this for several months and feel like there is a huge brick wall with Kizzie. Recently there was hope and even more when we found a grave that could be her sister in law but we just dont know what connection there is to this William Jackson or how and if she has a connection to him! You can message me here or at my email address it is firstname.lastname@example.org. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Absalom Autrey Absalom was my 4th Great Grandfather. My lineage goes to Lucinda & John Brown L. Mitchell, then James Jackson Mitchell, Grover Cleveland Mitchell, James Hayes Mitchell, Carol L. Mitchell, to me. I am visiting Dubach and the rest of Union Parrish next week. Hope to see the house and the cemetery.
