I started out trying to find the graves of my relatives, and recently just finished photographing all of the stones that are in the Coleman's Station Burying Ground in Dutchess County, NY. Since this cemetery is in very poor condition and also located on my Grandparents farm, this was something I felt I had to do since it probably won't be there much longer. It is already pretty much beyond repair, which is so sad. It sounds weird but I loved that cemetery growing up, and this is something that I had to do for everyone that is buried there. Other then that, I love fullfilling volunteer photos on here, especially around Troy, NY where I live, and Im hoping in return people can locate some of my requests. I live right across from the New Mt Ida Cemetery in Troy, and along with my neighbors, I have been doing a lot of volunteer work back there to try clean it up. I've been putting fallen stones upright again and also taking a lot of random photos of gravestones to put on here. If I have added a memorial for one of your relatives, please feel free to send me a note and I will transfer it to you, or update it with more information if you wish. Also, please stop by and leave flowers for Sgt. Jaynes. He was my Grandmothers brother that was killed in Africa during WWII. | |
