I became interested in family history when I discovered that my 4th great grandmother and 4 of her sons moved to Michigan and started a church. Since then I have become a family history consultant with my church. I regularly work on my family history and assist others with theirs. Whenever I visit a cemetery (regardless of the reason) I try to take photos of gravestones to upload to Find A Grave.

Pvt. Hugh P. Young Jr. stone picture
Hi MemphisGirl:

I understand now, since I read a message from another to you regarding the "Unknown" written on the stone. It's so very sad that these men weren't taken better care of even in their passing and burial:(

Thank you MemphisGirl for taking the stone picture of Pvt. Hugh P. Young, Jr. I appreciate your efforts, even if his stone states "Unknown" but at least we know now.

Thank you. Roxanne M. Weathers

Hello,
Thank you for the photo and the time you took to go out there. It is very appreciated. Are all the graves in that section marked unknown? Or is there a story as to why it's Unknown that you know of?
Best regards,
SLFergus

Norman Cisler and Louise Cisler
Louise Cisler buried next to Norman William Cisler

Norman was the eldest of 3 boys, his youngest brother was my grandfather Arthur Wells Cisler Sr.

I don't know who Louise with those dates could be, who is buried next to him!

Any ideas how to proceed?

William Hoover
Norman W Cisler
Dear MemphisGirl, My name is William C Hoover. I live in Columbus Ohio and my parents Wilbur & Ruth Hoover were lifelong close friends to Naomi Bannon-Myers. Naomi Bannon had a sister Pearl Cisler-Stein. Pearl was married to Norman William Cisler and they lived in Columbus Ohio 43212. Unfortunately, Pearl's husband died in July 1950. I see that you added a burial record for a Norman W. Cisler 1891-1950. I'm reasonably sure this was Pearl's first husband. I have no idea who Louise Cisler (1905-1975)? Pearl and Norman Cisler had a daughter Virginia Slade-Cisler and she and Pearl lived in Los Angeles County California. I just got a copy of Pearl's Certificate of Death and I also have a beautiful photo of their daughter Virginia Slade-Cisler. She was a real beauty. Looked like Hollywood star. The phot was taken in 1939 in NYC. Pearl moved out West (California) after Norman W. Cisler passed away. She got remarried to a gentleman Theodore Stein. He was Jewish. He was a wonderful man. If you have any information on Norman Cisler, please let me know. Thanx much, William C. Hoover Columbus,Ohio 43215
