Bio and Links
Bio Photo We are two sisters who are working on the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery (also known as IOOF Cemetery). The cemetery was incorporated on September 20, 1887; on November 30, 1965 the IOOF Cemetery ceased and the cemetery became the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery, Incorporated. The cemetery located in section 18 of Monroe Township, on route 101 at the Flatrock Road.

We have access to the original records for the cemetery with permission from the cemetery board. We are trying to get the utmost accurate information for all genealogists. If we have any of your families memorials please feel free to ask for a transfer.

12/26/2010 Update- All sections photographed. I will be going through the book to enter graves without photos.

Thanks to Lois Ternet for permission in using her photos from the LOIS TERNET COLLECTION.

*NOTE*- If a stone is two or more sided with names on them, I will post all pics of the stone on the memorial site. This helps with genealogy.

Thank you so much for the picture of her gravestone....but I realized after I made this request that she shared the stone with her husband & I found his memorial with the photo already included...uploaded by the both of you earlier?? (Dumb mistake on my part - Dah)

Hope you didn't spend too much extra time & is so awesome the volunteer work that you are doing...please know that it is truly appreciated, & in many cases this work is so valued by families searching out "answers" to the unknown history of their "roots" !!!!!

Happy Hunting...

RE: Duplicates-Heaths
Hi and thanks for your message. Yes I am recent on this site and trying to get information out and rediscover old family connections. The problem I am running into is while the Heaths are my direct ancestors some of the sites set up by others are not responding to my specific information or corrections, leaving me unsure if some of the people who set up these initial sites are themselves deceased or other. Being older myself and in failing health the only way left for me to tie my info to a specific grave is to set up a duplicate site. The other problem I am having is that Pancake Cemetery in Van Wert county in Ohio no longer exists, making it ridiculously hard to track down not only direct ancestors but brothers and sisters offspring as well. My sister has worked with but sometimes the info there is incorrect plus it does not link names with physical resting places. Was it Marriman there who I thought might be related? Anyway thank you i greatly appreciate any help offered, with respect...
