RE: Lehrke
Well, I'm not positive I'm related to all of the Lehrke's but chances are I am so sure.

Hi Susanna,

If you want to transfer the Kaukapakapa records I can then update myself,I have a lot of relatives in there. I have photographed the cemetery and will start putting photo's on again and updating the records as I go, so i can do the work instead of passing it to you.

Cheers

Julie

Transfers (thanks)
Thank you, Susanna, for all the contributions you make and your extraordinary responsiveness to edit requests, but especially thanks for the transfer of the memorials for my great-grandparents, Hans Olsen and Alice Mary Schermerhorn Olsen Deichler. It means a lot. Rodney

The proverb you quote
I was based in Japan and was told there that one is not yet truly dead as long as there is a surviving family member who (this is the important part) tends one's grave, trimming the grass, cleaning the stone and gilding or otherwise retouching the inscription. The ashes of some are enshrined in the home and cared for there.

RE: Elizabeth Hill Mattie Baldwin
I deleted my dupe and Charlie is no longer a "virtual" bigamist with both wives of the same name and dates.

RE: Elizabeth Hill Mattie Baldwin
Yes Ma'am, I will do so, but I think the information I posted is at least correct. Her Dad, RADM Dominic L. Mattie, was a 1929 classmate of my own Dad and her husbands were both my own 1953 classmates. I was present when Dave Wagner informed us that he and Charlie Baldwin's widow were planning to marry, and I confirmed her parentage through records on line at Ancestry.com. I think her nickname was referred to in her obituary and I used the obituary and her Dad's to locate her brother's memorial. What, please, is your family relationship?

Memorial #122949727
Thank you for helping me with my relatives, Robert E. Fisher, Bridget E. Fisher, and Thomas Francis Maloney, Jr. and adding Thomas Maloney's obituary.

I just found Robert E. Fisher's obituary. Would you be so kind and add it to his memorial page? Everyone in the obituary is deceased.

FISHER, ROBERT E., 82, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Dec. 13, 1994) at Memorial Hospital of Tampa. He was born in White Plains, N.Y., and came here in 1970. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Bridget E.; four sons, Robert, Houston, Donald, Washington, D.C., Kenneth, Mount Pleasant, N.Y., and Dennis, Hatfield, Pa.; a brother, Charles, Pennsylvania; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mark III Family Funeral Home, Bay to Bay Chapel, Tampa.
