I was profoundly impressed when I saw my own name on a tombstone at a young age- I had a great aunt with the same name who died the year after I was born. At that moment I realized "Hey, those are real people, with real lives buried there, not just stones!"|
Since then I have had a real appreciation of tombstones and who they represent. I take pictures of stones that touch me, as well as those of people I have met.

|kdc354||Maria Susan Crosier DeVoe|
Cuyahoga Marriage Records indicate that Maria Crosier married Luke B. DeVoe on 4 Jul 1838.
In the U.S. 1850 census for Euclid, both Luke and Maria are listed. Their children at that time were Letitia, Henry, Sarah, Almira, Sedate, Adella, and Adalaide.
Thanks for your work in posting information about this family.

I just rechecked and both photos are back on the memorial page. So perhaps it was just a computer glitch, I have never had this happen before. Sorry if I startled you by thinking you deleted them
Waunita in WA state.

According to the posting on his memorial you stated that no pictures were to be posted. The photo I had posted of him was removed and also the new photo of his monument that was only posted this week.
Isaac John Dial is my G. Uncle and I would like to have these photos put back on his memorial. Please tell me the reason you had the photos removed? Are you also a relative?
|CypressGreen||Find a Grave Community Day|
I follow them on FB and for Find A Grave Community Day some people will be going to Woodland Cemetery to meet and photograph!
The idea is to get as many gravers as possible in the US (or abroad!) to fill outstanding photo requests, take photos for new entries, and meet others in their area.
I have you on my 'friends list' as a Cleveland peep, so I wanted you to know. There are already 3 of us signed up.

Well, never let it be said that you don't know how to write a memorial !!!
I can't believe all you have on both Dorothea and John Roy Yeckley.
Are you related to them?? I'm Dorothea's fourth cousin twice removed.
Thanks for ALL the information.
|Doug Weisbarth||Memorial Transfer Request|
Mary, Would you consider transferring Memorial # 35239544 (Margaret Sullivan nee Weisbarth) to me? Previously, you have transferred 8 other Memorials from St Pauls Cemetery to me. This is one we missed. Doug Weisbarth
|Fran Wheeler||Clara and Sherman Hazlett|
May I use your photo for my family tree? Clara is my Waugh family line. Thanks.
|Patsy McBride||Pleasant Hill Cemetery|
Where in Geauga county can I find Pleasant Hill Cemetery? I live in Lake county and would like to find some family members. I need to know the city.

I'm sorry I made a mistake on the edit I just sent to you. Instead of Oakham, Mass. she was born in Peru, Berkshire, Mass. I hope this doesn't mess you up too much. My apologies.
