I just sent you some info from his military service records. Not a lot of biographical information there. I should have his death certificate tomorrow. I'll let you know what it says, or I can send you a copy to upload to the site.

I really think he is 3G grandfather. I have no clues on his parentage.

Do you happen to have any more info on Marcus L. Smith, #47631365 or know how he might relate to Philander Smith and Harriet Smith Reed buried close to him? Thank you for any help. I believe he may be my 3G grandfather.

I appreciate you looking into this. Do you know if there is a cemetery association that might have burial records?

Hi Skye,

Thank you for posting my Great-Great-Grandfather James Albert Jones. I would like it if you would edit it so that I may manage it since he is direct line family.

Thanks so much for your time & effort.

RE: Lola Carlton
Hi Skye,

I see I confused you even more.
Hester Wright West who married John T West was the daughter of Joshua Wright and Hester?(Unknown)
Josiah Wright was the brother of Hester Wright West who married John T. West. Josiah Wright did marry Peggy Ferguson. You are confusing Joshua Wright with his son Josiah.
Hester Wright Wests father Joshua was born 1723 in Maryland and died 1794 in Rockingham Co., NC. His daughter Hester Wright West was named after his wife Hester. Hope this makes sense.
