|V. Pettigrew||Edit for relative - Created by: skye Record added: Oct 13, 2010 Find A Grave Memorial# 60044091|
Hi Skye. The above mentioned record has the incorrect name for the person buried there. It should be Albert J. Pettigrew, you have it as Andrew J. Pettigrew. Thank you so much for posting these pictures. Albert is my Great Grandfather, and Andrew (his father) is my GG Grandfather. I went to Oakdale Cemetery yesterday and found the family plot.
|Shannon White||William O White Sr.|
My name is Shannon White. Bill was my husband. Evidently you are the one that put his memorial on 'Find a Grave'. I appreciate you doing that for others to be able to find. However, your information implies that my husband was buried in Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN, he was not.
My husband was cremated there and I have his cremains here at home with me. I'd appreciate it if you could correct his memorial to account for that. Just to eliminate where & that he was buried...
Thank you very much,

You have posted obits for two different people on the same Memorial

Thanks for responding. My, my The News Herald's obit was a lot more informative than the one I saw in the Plain Dealer! The PD one just gave his age, family members and time/date of vistation and the funeral. It must have been a rush job the family put together just to get it in there.
BTW, I hope I didn't sound accusatory in my message. I was just wondering how you gathered so much info so fast.
Thanks for all that. Now I won't have to pester my cousins for it. I always feel a little ghoulish asking survivors all those questions, especially because many never heard of Find a Grave and act uncomfortable with the idea.

Thank you for your edit suggestions regarding the above memorial.
Nothing wrong here, but I am curious about something. I posted the memorial for my Uncle Jim Vlach on January 5, two days after his death. I didn't know his exact birth date, and didn't want to bother my cousins in their time of grief.
On January 6 - one day later - you submitted two edits for his memorial. One giving his exact date of birth and the second giving his parent's names.
So I'm curious. Are you also a relative? If not, where did you obtain this information and how did you do it so quickly? Neither piece of info was in his obit, which is where I took my basic data from.
I'll verify these suggestions with my cousin after allowing the family some time to mourn their loss. Thanks again.

|William||Francis Thomas Foran memorial, Find a Grave Memorial # 127946787|
Merry Christmas and thank you for all the work that you have done on these memorials. A number of these memorials are for my extended family. This one is my grandfather's and I have submitted edits to add some details.
I am not sure how to add his other three children to go along with daughter Mary LaVerne Foran Schamberg, Find A Grave Memorial# 127945258. They would be:
LeRoy Thomas Foran, Find A Grave Memorial# 159894289, (25 Ju 1921 Cleveland OH - 25 Apr 2002 Westlake OH)
Mary LaVerne Foran Schamberg, Find A Grave Memorial# 127945258 (16 Oct 1924 Cleveland OH-10 Apr 2014 Nashville TN)
Robert Anthony Foran, (3 Oct 1926 in Cleveland OH - January 2013, Largo FL)
William Francis Foran, Find A Grave Memorial# 658594 (29 Jul 1939 Cleveland OH - 27 May 1991, San Antonio TX)

|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I am happy to see that you photographed a number of Young gravestones in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson, Ashtabula Co., OH.
I would like to add some of these gravestone photos to my Ancestry family tree, with this included in the Description field: "Taken by Find A Grave contributor skye [or your name if you like] - used with permission." Is that OK?

Thank you for your quick response. I have used the date Feb. 10 in my tree because that is what was written in the old family bible that is in my possession. Of course, that could be wrong, too. Maybe the best solution would be to use the date from the death certificate but make a note of the bible reference? I leave the decision to you.
Again, thank you,
