I love cemeteries and I love photographing headstones. If I can help anyone else find their ancestors, I'm happy. |
Genealogy is very important to me.

Suzanne, I left an edit for Eva M Cooley. 76471078
If you look at Eva's birthdate, you will see that she was born 25 years before Pearl was born. I believe that this Eva am maybe Fred B. Cooly's mother, but I don't have proof of that yet. Fred and pearls daughter is Louise who was born in 1918. Thank you for all you do with find a grave.

Thank you for making the change. I know how hard it is to get those photos with the lighting just right. I really appreciate the option to enlarge the photo image, some Find A Grave memorials don't allow for that, (not sure why) because that's the only way I was able to make out the difference between 4 and 1. The number 8 in the year suffers from the same problem but I don't think that anyone was going to mistake it for a 3!

While researching my direct line I came across Adelbert's Find A Grave memorial. His Civil War records list a muster out date of February 12, 1864. His grave marker has inscribed on it that he died at Camp Chase (Ohio). Looking more closely at the photo I was able to discern that the inscription shows a faint mark indicating the last number of the death year is "4" and not "1". Would you please examine the same and update the text. Thank you for adding Adelbert's record to Find A Grave. It was not there when I was first doing my research and I am happy to add it to my records.

In order to connect him to his parents you need to give me his Find A Grave#

Suzanne - I thank you so much, so very belatedly!!! I just saw your message when looking for something in old email. While the news about Horace Chase was rather horrifying, family was very glad to learn about it. Also, it told us that Grandma Minnie's elusive brother Darryl moved to California. Sincerely, Jane Hollis

May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of Arthur Maxwell Mattoon Jr (Memorial# 68838364)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you for your kind, quick consideration and helping to "reunite" some of these folks with their kin.
