Could you please remove the photo for General Scott Horsley, Sr. (1811-1883). The website isn't allowing me to request a photo for the headstone because it says that there is already a photo there, but the photo is of the cemetery entrance, and not the headstone.
|Adrian Russell||Search for John Henry Grier lineage|
Good morning. My name is Adrian Russell, and I am a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic church - the church Elder John Henry founded in 1937 and built a new edifice in 1948! This church is located at 2002 Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The street was first known as "Martindale Avenue."
Recently, we have began an effort to renovate this church and build a new addition on to the building some say Elder John Grier literally built himself. I am over the building and design for the project, and I am also a very appreciative of history and legacy. For some time, I have been trying to locate anyone in or even remotely tied to the family and legacy of Elder John Henry Grier - our founding Pastor and original visionary.
It would be awesome to celebrate this man and family in this process as our church reflects back on history to go forward. Original floor plans, early pictures of the church, at the church, the original building, construction of the building would be TREASURE. Please, I pray this message finds someone who can lead us in the right direction. You may email me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you and God bless!

According to a list I saw at the Marion County Genealogical Society for this cemetery, it included some Avery's. I am looking for the graves of George Avery and his sons Solomon Avery & David Avery. George was not on the list I saw, but Solomon & David were. Have you come across any graves with that surname at the cemetery?

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.
I clicked down one image too far as the Fairview CEMETERY photo was uploaded by you, not the obituary image above it. My apologizes!
I'm sorry - the obit was for Emma A Brown, the wife of Marion F Ghee. It wasn't for Mabel Westfall (she's Emma's daughter from Emma's first marriage to Joseph Perry Westfall; Mabel is mentioned in Emma's obit as a survivor). I hope I haven't confused things too much!
Hello - Even though we aren't supposed to upload obituaries, I was grateful to see one for Mabel Westfall that you added to her memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=63124886. However, there's a problem. The obit says that her husband, Marion F Ghee, survived her. But, according to the cemetery records, they both died or were buried on 31 May 1931. Marion: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=63124888. The superintendent told me that the records were in terrible shape and he's spent years trying to correct and fill them in. If they both died so closely together, it seems to me that Emma's obit would have mentioned such an important fact, so something is off. Marion's obit is needed to solve the question. SO - is it possible to get an obituary for Marion, too? Is the newspaper online somewhere or will the local library find one for me? Thank you for your help!
