I see you have a photo of the stone for Eli Foote. Would it be ok w/you if I added this photo with my ancestry.com info? Great job taking photos for others! Thank you!

I see that you have claimed my photo request. Thank you and would like to know when to expect the photos. I would love for my Husband to see where his grandmother and grandfather are at. His whole family is from Eure, NC.
sincerely, Deborah Langston

RE: Recorded History Information
Thank you for going to all that trouble to tell me about Mr. Foote but it is the Dickinson family that interests me. Some of those buried in Winton could be some of my ancestors, I've not made a certain connection as yet. From what I have found on the Dickinson's (as well as some of my other branches) they lived a Christian life and allowing Mr. Foote (died of yellow fever)to be buried in the family cemetery was a very Christian thing to do. Nice thing to know about folks who could be related to me.
Thank you again for the information. Actually, the write up on his memorial pretty much told his story. He was a Tory, yet befriended by Patriots. That speaks volumes for our forefathers.
His family is buried in the Foote - Ward Cemetery in Guilford, New Haven, Connecticut. His wife's father was a Revolutionary War officer. His father is buried in the Linwood Cemetery, Colchester, New London County, Connecticut. His brother, Justin is buried in the Foote-Ward Cemetery in Guilford. Of the 2,136 graves in the Linwood Cemetery, 70 of them are from the Foote family.
Again, thank you.

RE: Recorded History Information
I'll keep it in mind but so far I see no connection to my family. Actually, I am a little curious as to why he is buried in the Dickinson Family Cemetery. I looked through his descendants and saw no Dickinson.
Thanks for the information though.
