I am working on finding the graves of the descendants of Anthony Yerkes which are listed in the "Chronicles of the Yerkes Family With Notes On The Leech And Rutter Families" by Josiah Granville Leach published in 1904, and on finding the graves of those people mentioned in "Sketches of William Hicks, Abner Hicks, Jasper Hicks, George Harris, James Crews, John Earl and something of their Descendants With Comparisons of Present Conditions of Living With Those of Sixty Years Ago" by Titus Thurston Hicks, printed in 1926 and reprinted in 1954. I have virtual cemeteries for those that I have found.
Posting photos on FindAGrave does not automatically put them in the public domain. Please ask if you want to use any photos of mine and tell me what you want them for. My email is rafbeas at aol. If I find my photos used without my permission, I will take all necessary steps to redress the situation.
Do not email transfer requests. Use the Edit tab on the memorial. Transfers outside Find A Grave guidelines will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please tell me your specific relationship to the deceased and explain what you have to contribute to the memorial that I can't add. I am glad to add any links (except to memorials with no burial location) or bio information that you send. I do not add links to memorials where the final disposition has not been determined. Do not put obituaries or other information on the deceased in a flower.
RE: Hargrove Cemetery I have added a map for the Hargrove Cemetery located at Catalpa Grove in Townsville NC.
You asked for Virginia Wingate I know nothing of her we were discussing Virginia Wimbush.
I am not the owner of Mary Lamb Hargrove's memorial. Mary is listed as being buried in the Hargrove cemetery at Hibernia. She is at Catalpa Grove and is the only Mary there. There are several unmarked graves at Catalpa Grove. I have sent a suggestion to the owner "Sleepingdog" to correct the mistake.
I discovered that I had opened a memorial for Mary Lamb Hargrove not being aware one already existed. Since my memorial was the most recent I deleted my listing.
The AT in the Catalpa Grove cemetery title is the result of my having entered the cemetery name as "Hargrove Family Cemetery AT Catalpa Grove" of course the name was too long so Catalpa Grove was left out. I am relatively new to Find A Grave and have not figured out how to change the cemetery name I see no option to do so thus the AT remains.
The Mary's resting at Hibernia as you may know are; Mary William Grist wife of John Hargrove,Mary Parmele Hargrove daughter of John Hargrove and Mary W Grist and a memorial stone for Mary A. Hargrove.
Virginia D. Wimbush You suggested in a message that the Virginia Wimbush memorial be moved to the Hargrove Family Cemetery. Virginia Wimbush is not buried at the "Hargrove Family Cemetery." There are two Hargrove cemetery's. The Hargrove family cemetery you refer to is located at Hibernia on Kerr Reservoir. Virginia is buried at the Tazewell Lee Hargrove home place (Catalpa Grove) located 6 or 8 miles from Hibernia.
I have images of every grave at the Hibernia cemetery but only two from Catalpa Grove. If you would like an image of Virginia's marker advise and I will get it this winter when the tick population is down.
