Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Sweden. I have registered all graves in the cemetery of my birth parish – Östra Vemmerlöv, Skåne County, Sweden – and several graves of relatives in other cemeteries in Sweden. I have also, as far as possible, registered graves of emigrants from Östra Vemmerlöv and other parishes in Sweden in cemeteries in USA, Canada and Australia.

Elmwood Cemetery
Just wanted you to know how very much I appreciate your edits for the Swedish immigrants interred at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore, Illinois.

Correctly identifying their place of birth has been an ongoing difficulty for me.

Thank you, Steve

RE: # 56294063 Stanley Sasserson
Thanks, Bo, I included the cenotaph memorials if there were any in their home states. His headstone shows 1945 in that one - if the men were missing for one year (per some 1945 newspaper articles that quoted some of the letters received by the men's parents), their date of death was declared as one year and one day after the day they went missing. Strange procedure, but I guess that was their policy. My guess is that it why the headstone shows 1945 as Howard's death year. I wonder what the creator of that memorial will do. I'll check periodically to see if they remove it, but I don't think they will since there is a memorial headstone in that cemetery. Thanks for letting me know.

Hello Bo, no Mea Culpa necessary, but "small world" that he was born in your birth parish! My husband's great uncle, Toivo Maki, was one of 12 airmen who lost their lives in the air collision in which Stanley lost his. I have been working on updating their info as best I can, including linking the men's memorials to their parents' and spouse's memorials if I am able to find them. I also linked all the men through html code to Toivo's memorial if you're interested in viewing that (20887873).

It's wonderful you were able to help with the Julin family info. Thank you for generously doing all that work!

Kind regards,
Jacki

RE: Cecelia Winberg
Thanks so much!! I received your email with attachments! Have downloaded and will open next. Just wanted you to know the email was received and we can work through emails rather than on the message boards. You have done some wonderful searching for me and I am most grateful. I must sign off right now and visit my neighbor who turned 943 yesterday! She's a sweetheart. Back probably tonight. Thanks again soooo much for your kindness!

Cecelia Winberg
Thanks for the edits. Again, I need sources please as this differs from what is on the tombstone and her obit. Sine you live in the area of her birth, I am hoping you have access to better records that I. Thank you for your help! Since these folks are my grandchildren's direct ancestors, I am most anxious to get the info correctly entered into my family history and online, too. Thanks so much! If you wish to write me directly, my email is pas47pap yahoo com

Swan Winbergs
I knew I shouldn't be doing this before my morning coffee! You sent birth locations, not death...sorry! I will update immediately. I am concerned about the birth date of Swan, though. His tombstone and age in the obit match 1858 rather than 1848. Would you please supply the source of 1848? Again, my apologies for my error!

Thank you for your time and efforts to get the information correct. Thank you for your Edits; however, they do not match what I have for my children's ancestors. Please send sources of info and I will look into the Edits. If you will read Swan's obituary, you will see that he died in Wisconsin, not Sweden. Perhaps a relative has the same name? I would enjoy working with you on the Winbergs. My information is limited! THANKS SO MUCH!
