I have research going on with several different family trees. I have lived in Omaruru, Namibia, Africa since 1993 and don't get back to the States very often but I have found this sight a great way to keep up with my research and to add people to the web sight. My husband and I have a small computer company here in Omaruru. I have been doing research for over 20 years. Some of my families are Sniders,Arants, Gantt, Gaddis, Bass, Lancaster, Farmer, Sewell, Brocks Funderburk. My husband's are McFadden, Davis, Carter, Nelson, Byrd, Haynes, Bradford. | |

 | Oscar Parker Harris Transferred to you. Oscar Parker is a DNA Grp 6 in the Harrises. Allen Bailey Harris has a flower from a Parker who says he links to Harris Grp 6 - probably the source of his name. I have and uncle deceased and a first cousin Olin Parker Harris (written in the Bible as Olen) so the name was carried through my line as well. I had thought it a derivation of Parks which was used in the generation before Oscar but now think differently. Best Wishes. | | | looking4RevABHarris'Parents

 | Doris Yocom Naomi, Doris' name is included on J. Harold Yocom's headstone but there is no date of death. I would not create a memorial until her death. Sandi | | | Sandi Gill
 | Yocoms at Shenkel You're welcome. There are a couple of Yocoms left at Shenkel. If they're related, I'll be glad to transfer them to you.
Have you been to this area? There is a Yocom Road off of Unionville Road just across the county line in Berks. That's probably where this Yocom family that attended Shenkel lived. I believe there were Yocoms still living there when we moved to this area (1980s). I don't know them, or even if they're still there.
Good luck with your research. It so-o handy when you live nearby. Chester and Berks counties have a lot of local resources. | | | | [View all messages...] |
