Bio Photo When I became a member it seemed that being a photo volunteer was a natural fit for me. I still believe that but I'm afraid that I'm not much use to anyone during Winter. The snow drifts are formidable on the northern plains. I guess I have two seasons in my year, Winter and Cemetery Searching.
These past several years, while hunting up the graves of my own antecedents, I've been impressed with the beauty of the stones and the various expessions of grief and love exhibited in the cemeteries. Once I acquired a digital camera I began saving images of those.
One thing I've learned-for photographing tombstones a cloudy day works better. And I guess you could say it adds to the mood as well.

Auntie Pat
Are you truly Auntie Pat to tiny John W. Townsend born 12 March 1927 and died 24 March 1927 and buried in Dakota Cemetery in Nebraska?

There is a Patricia Townsend who had a younger brother John W. Townsend who grew up and married, etc. But I am wondering if there were a first John W. Townsend who lived a couple of weeks and you are his Auntie Pat?

RE: Barnett
Well, thank you very much for all the work you've done! I really appreciated the photos, as well. There ARE a lot of Brennans in the county, and I suspect you'll get transfer requests from family there!

Thank You
I have had so much difficulty attempting to find my Grandfathers resting place. I was able finally to identify it as Springfield Cemetery in SD. Although I do not know where his headstone i I now know the Cemetery still exist and have a picture of it. Blessings Sandee in CA

wife of David Guillaume
I found this site and am working on composing a virtural location grouping our ancestors resting location to one "URL" I just started last night 30 Sep 2013. I had uploaded my folks image I took several days ago in my trip to Sioux City. and sent out some suggestions to correct some whom have been miss located to the wrong cemetery.

I also am researching a possible family tie with the family members of Wayne Guillaume his Grand Pa was Joseph Guillaume b 1847- d.1902 Peru IN his death record said his father is Theophilus. (b.1819) It points to who has been known to be David A b.1847-(d.1936) but there is conflicting info of wife. and death date as well as township.Ships log I found also seems to be missing some children as was originally documented by others.

Another discovery in my trip to Sioux City I took images and uploaded to "FINDAGRAVE.COM". is David "D" son of Clement C. In the mausoleum where my folks are at the opposite end is a D. M. Guillaume 1867- above him the wife of D.M. Guillaume and two children all dates and names with exception to the "M" match my records of David D Guillaume How ever with in the images of "" in SD at St. Peters Cemetery is the image of a grave stone of Adaline Limoges Guillaume 1870-1904 as wife of David Guillaume. Could her remains have been relocated to Sioux City? And the old grave marker still exists in S.Dakota? I uploaded the images I have to that as well.
