George Avery Bunting.
Sgt. Lou-

Thank you. Yes, if you would add the following:

* He was born in Bishopville, Maryland just outside Ocean City.

* He had a doctorate degree in pharmacology from the University of MD which he obtained after he'd earned his bachelor' degree from Washington College.

* He bought the rights for a formula from an Ocean City doctor for an early sunburn remedy which he then perfected. The formula was marketed as a skin cream good for sunburn, and other assorted skin ails. One of Bunting's patients claimed that this cream 'knocked out his eczema' and the name NOXZEMA stuck ! (Today spelled NOXEMA)

* If you'd connect the family members together. Nellie was his wife; Dorothy, their daughter & Lloyd their son. BTW, Lloyd's 1st name was also George if you'd add that. Also, both father and son graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Md.

Many thanks !
Kelt

Sgt. Lou-

Got your message. Nope, I'm not related to Bunting. He was friends with my great grandfather & I know a little about him that I wanted to add which was why I asked if you'd be open to transfer. I hadn't considered the posts to be an amount of #s collected. If you don't want to transfer, would you be willing to add/edit some information on Dr. Bunting ?

p.s. I added his portrait to the post. (I) hope that's ok.

Memorial 89890549
Hi Seargeant Lou...

I was so happy to find this memorial as I have not been able to get back to the cemetary since the service for my Uncle. The note is correct - the last name is indeed Burkhead and we have notified the cemetary of such. Hopefully it is now changed and corrected.

Would you please transfer this memorial to me. I would love to add a decent bio for him. Thank you. I am #48202590

Words cannot express my gratitude for your photo of my grandfather's headstone! Until a few months ago, I did not even know where he was buried. It means so much to have access to that image, and to see that his grave has been cared for.
